Injection device and injection solution transferring system
An injection device (10) comprises an injection solution receptacle (30) and a plunger (70) at least a portion of which is slidably received in the injection solution receptacle (30), wherein the plunger (70) is displaceable relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) in a distal direction in order to expel an injection solution contained in the injection solution receptacle (30) from the injection solution receptacle (30). A first plunger stop mechanism (140) is adapted to stop a displacement of the plunger (70) relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) in the distal direction at a first dosing position (P1). A second plunger stop mechanism (140) is adapted to stop a displacement of the plunger (70) relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) from the first dosing position (P1) in the distal direction at a second dosing position (P2), wherein the first and the second dosing position (P2) of the plunger (70) are selected in such a manner that the plunger (70), upon being displaced relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) between the first and the second dosing position (P2) is adapted to expel a desired dose of the injection solution contained in the injection solution receptacle (30) from the injection solution receptacle (30).
AN INJECTION DEVICE FOR DELIVERING A LIQUID DRUG
The invention relates to a pre-filled injection device with a non-removable cartridge embedded in the housing structure and wherein the piston rod drive mechanism comprises a threaded piston rod which is moved helically in a nut secured to the housing structure. During assembly of the injection device it is possible to eliminate the air-gap between the plunger in the cartridge and the piston rod means by moving the nut element for the drive mechanism axially during assembly. In an alternative solution, the piston rod comprises a telescopic element which can slide axially in relation to the piston rod to obtain the zero position.
PRE-FILLED DRUG CARTRIDGE WITH STOPPER PARTIALLY PROTRUDING FROM IT FOR FACILITATING PRIMING
Disclosed is a combination of an infusion set consisting of infusion tubing and needle connected to a drug cartridge, the latter comprising a cylindrical body of inner diameter and having an open rear end, wherein a stopper is slidably disposed within the body. In an initial state after the cartridge has been filled, the stopper is partially disposed within the body such that the stopper protrudes from the rear end of the body by a distance. Pushing the stopper into the cartridge by said distance, i.e. until the stopper is flush with the rear end, displaces a predetermined volume according to E, B and the cylindrical geometry of the cartridge, which is large enough to effect complete air priming of the cartridge, infusion tubing and infusion needle.
Injection Device Having Variable Dosing
An injection device for injecting medicament in a patient comprises a housing configured to house a fluid reservoir that has one of a plurality of volumes of medicament. An injection conduit fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir defines a fluid pathway from the fluid reservoir to the patient. A firing mechanism is coupled to the fluid reservoir and is configured to expel the medicament from the fluid reservoir through the injection conduit. A volume setting mechanism is coupled to the firing mechanism and is configured to select the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament for the firing mechanism to expel. A dose setting mechanism is configured to select all or a fraction of the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament that is injected from the injection conduit when the firing mechanism is actuated.
Injection Device
Injection device comprising a tubular elongated main body, a needle shield slidably arranged in said main body, a needle shield link slidably connected to said needle shield, a cartridge containing medicament arranged in said main body, a needle connected to said cartridge, a plunger operatively arranged to said cartridge for ejecting said medicament through said needle and arranged on its upper part with a number of outwardly extending stop members, spring means arranged to said plunger for operating said plunger, a dose activating means, a needle shield spring surrounding the needle shield link. The injection device is capable of setting and delivering a certain preset dose.
Method for Assembling a Drug Delivery Device and Drug Delivery Device
A method for assembling a drug delivery device that includes mounting a cartridge with a bung, the mechanism, the plunger and the spring within a housing such that a spring biases a plunger in a dispensing direction and that a drum and/or the release member is attached to the plunger attaching a tool with torque measurement capability to the drum or a release member of a dose mechanism in a state where at least one housing part is detached from further housing part; setting a dose by rotating the dose setting member in a first direction, activating a trigger and monitoring the torque applied to the drum or the release member; releasing the trigger upon detection of a predetermined change in the torque measured by the tool; and releasing the tool and closing the housing.
Drug Delivery Device with a Drive Mechanism
The present disclosure relates to a drive mechanism which is suitable for an injection device, especially a drug delivery device. The mechanism comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis defined by a compartment for receiving a cartridge, a plunger suitable for acting on a bung of a cartridge retained in the housing, a strained pressure spring arranged between the housing and the plunger, a retaining member coupled to the plunger, and a release member operable between a first state, in which the release member constrains the retaining member to the housing, and a second state, in which the release member is movable relative to the housing.
SYRINGE WITH PRIMING MECHANISM
Syringes are described herein. A syringe includes a syringe body, a first plunger, a biasing member, and a retention member. The syringe body defines a syringe cavity and a syringe port, wherein the syringe port is in fluid communication with the syringe cavity. The first plunger comprises a first plunger shaft extending from the first plunger, the first plunger disposed within the syringe cavity and defining a first chamber in the syringe cavity, wherein the first chamber is in fluid communication with the syringe port. The biasing member is coupled to the first plunger shaft, wherein the biasing member urges the first plunger to advance toward the syringe port. The retention mechanism prevents the biasing member from advancing the first plunger in an engaged position and permits the biasing member to advance the first plunger in a released position.
FLUID EXCHANGE APPARATUS FOR EXPANDABLE PORT DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A device for injecting a therapeutic agent into an ocular implant at least partially implanted in an eye including an injection lumen providing a pathway for injecting the therapeutic agent into the implant; an outlet lumen providing a pathway for pre-existing fluid in the ocular implant to exit the implant; and a collection chamber fluidly coupled to the outlet lumen that provides a first fluid outflow resistance and a second fluid outflow resistance. The first fluid outflow resistance is lower than a first resistance to outflow of the implant. The second fluid outflow resistance is greater than a force imparted onto the implant by intraocular pressure of the eye. Injection of therapeutic agent into the implant via the injection lumen causes the pre-existing fluid to exit the implant and enter the collection chamber via the outlet lumen and causes a second pre-existing fluid to displace from the collection chamber.
INJECTION DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to an injection device for expelling of a dose of a medicament. The injection device includes an elongated housing with a distal end and a proximal end opposite to the distal end. The elongated housing has a body and a protective cap. A medicament container has a barrel having a first cavity in a proximal direction by a first stopper slidably arranged inside the barrel. The protective cap is configured to abut on a distally facing abutment portion of the barrel. The body is configured to abut on a proximally facing abutment portion of the first stopper. The first stopper is movable in distal direction relative to the barrel from an initial position into a priming position by moving the protective cap along the proximal direction relative to the body from a preset position into an activation position.
