Drive mechanism for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.
DOSAGE ADJUSTER FOR SYRINGE
Provided is a dosage adjuster for a syringe including: a dosage setting part configured to set the amount of dosage usable out of a liquid medicine filled in the syringe; and a setting restriction part configured to switch between a restricted state in which change in setting of the amount of dosage set by the dosage setting part is restricted and a permissible state in which the change in the setting of the amount of dosage by the dosage setting part is permissible.
Force actuated injection device
A force actuated injection device including a body adapted to contain medication, a grip slidably disposed over the body, a lock disposed between the body and the grip, the lock when locked preventing movement of the grip relative to the body and when unlocked permitting movement of the grip relative to the body, a needle guard retractable relative to the body, a biasing member biasing the needle guard away from the body, and a resistance band disposed between the body and the needle guard adapted to resist initial needle guard retraction relative to the body, wherein force on the needle guard exceeding a predetermined amount overcomes a frictional force of the resistance band allowing the needle guard to retract relative to the body to unlock the grip relative to the body such that movement of the grip relative to the body causes medication to be delivered from the body.
METHOD OF INJECTING OCTREOTIDE ACETATE INTO THE BODY
A method of providing and/or injecting octreotide acetate to a subject in need thereof includes storing the octreotide acetate in a cartridge of a multi-use multi-dose injector provided with a variable dose setter and actuator. The injector includes a needle configured for subcutaneous administration of the octreotide acetate, the octreotide acetate having a concentration of 2,500 μg/mL. The method further includes permitting setting of a dose of the octreotide acetate by rotation of the variable dose setter. The injector is configured to provide at least one audible feedback during the rotation. The method further includes operating the actuator to deliver the octreotide acetate from the cartridge through the needle to treat the subject. The injector is provided with multiple surface portions.
Drug delivery device with electro-mechanic drive mechanism
The present invention relates to a drug delivery device for setting and dispensing of a dose of a medicament is presented comprising a housing to accommodate a cartridge filled with the medicament, an electrically operated drive mechanism to be operably engaged with the cartridge to expel a predefined dose of the medicament from the cartridge, and at least one dose element displaceably arranged relative to the housing to set and/or to dispense the dose of the medicament, wherein the dose element and the drive mechanism are mechanically decoupled from each other.
Methods of treatment using a syringe extrusion accessory
A method of treatment may include providing a syringe having medicinal fluid therein for administering to a patient and coupling an attachment portion of an extrusion accessory having a handle and a pawl to a flange portion of the syringe. The pawl may have first and second ends, and be hingedly and rotatably coupled relative to the handle at a first position at the first end and at a second position between the first and second ends. The method may further include applying a force to translate the handle in a direction substantially perpendicular relative to a longitudinal axis of the syringe to cause axial movement of the second end of the pawl. The second end of the pawl may be engaged with a plunger of the syringe and axial movement of the second end of the pawl may drive the plunger forward to extrude the medicinal fluid from the syringe.
SAFETY SYRINGE WITH DOSE WINDOW
An apparatus includes a syringe body, a plunger, a cap, and a dose gauge. The syringe body defines a volume configured to contain a medicament. The dose gauge is disposed about at least a portion of a side wall of the syringe body, and defines a window. The cap is coupled to a proximal end portion of the syringe body, and includes an engagement portion. The plunger has a distal end portion configured to move within the volume to convey the medicament. An engagement portion of the plunger is configured to interface with the engagement portion of the cap to prevent rotation of the plunger about a longitudinal axis of the plunger. An outer surface of the plunger includes a series of indicia. At least one of the indicium is visible through the window when the plunger is in a first position within the volume.
Connecting module and syringe having such a connecting module
A connecting module is provided with a first connecting component, which has a first fluid channel and a first contact surface, a second connecting component, which has a second fluid channel and a second contact surface. One of the two contact surfaces is formed as an inner surface and the other of the two contact surfaces is formed as an outer surface which is complementary to the inner surface. The connecting module further includes a receiving sleeve with a first threaded section and a first connecting device for the first connecting component. The first connecting component has a second connecting device, which interacts with the first connecting device in such a way that the first connecting component is detachably connected to the receiving sleeve. The second connecting component has a second threaded section which is complementary to the first threaded section.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a syringe device comprises (a) an outer housing, (b) a barrel, (c) a stopper, and (d) a plunger with one or more grooves.
INDEXING DELIVERY DEVICE
A dispensing device is disclosed which provides for dispensing multiple doses in amounts determined by a movable collar attached to a plunger shaft.
