Mixing vial
A mixing vial having a hollow interior chamber with a tubular portion having distal and proximal open ends and a stopper positioned in sealing relationship in the tubular portion, the stopper having a hollow interior chamber with an open end and a dislodgeable plug positioned in and sealing the open end.
Injection device
Apparatuses and methods for delivering a fluid, including a viscous fluid. These apparatuses may include a fluid reservoir, two or more piston chambers, a manifold, a delivery port, and a drive assembly and may be configured to inject either a predetermined amount of fluid or a continuous stream of fluid. These apparatuses may also be configured to switch between filling, injection and aspiration modes. These apparatuses may generally be hand-held and lightweight and may provide a significant mechanical advantage to the user.
CONTAINTER FOR MIXING AND DISPENSING TWO COMPONENTS
A container and methods for storing and mixing a two-component composition is provided. The container includes a body, a first plug and a second plug. The body has a first end, a second end, and a bypass with a length L disposed between the first and second ends. The first and second plugs are slidably disposed in the body and define a first compartment. A second compartment is disposed in the body between the second plug and the second end. The second plug has a first edge, a second edge, and a plurality of spaced-apart primary conduits extending through the second plug. Each primary conduit has a separate first opening. A distance D extends longitudinally from the first edge to the second edge and a distance E extends longitudinally from the first edge to the first opening that is nearest the first edge. D≧L and E<L.
CONTAINTER FOR MIXING AND DISPENSING COMPONENTS
A container is provided. The container includes a body, a first plug, and a second plug. The body has a first end, a second end, and a bypass with a length L disposed between the ends. The first and second plugs are slideably disposed in the body and define a first compartment. A second compartment is in the body between the second plug and the second end. The second plug has a first edge; a second edge; and a plurality of primary conduits, each primary conduit extending from first openings in the side wall to second openings in the bottom surface. The bottom surface does not define a plane oriented substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. A distance D extends longitudinally from the first edge to the second edge. A distance E extends longitudinally from the first edge to the first opening. D≧L and E<L.
MULTI-CHAMBER SYRINGE
Syringes are described herein. A syringe includes a syringe body, a first plunger, a second plunger, and an inner tube. The syringe body defines a syringe cavity and a syringe port, wherein the syringe port is in fluid communication with the syringe cavity. The first plunger is disposed within the syringe cavity and defining a first chamber in the syringe cavity, wherein the first chamber is in fluid communication with the syringe port. The second plunger is disposed within the syringe cavity, the first plunger and the second plunger cooperatively defining a second chamber in the syringe cavity. The inner tube comprises an inner tube lumen, wherein the inner tube and the first plunger shaft lumen define an annulus therebetween, the annulus in fluid communication with the first plunger channel and the annulus permits fluid communication between the syringe port and the first plunger channel.
MULTI-CHAMBER SYRINGE
Systems and methods for multi-chambered syringes are described. In some embodiments, a multi-chamber syringe includes a housing with an internal cavity and first and second plungers disposed at least partially within the internal cavity. The first and second plungers are slidably displaceable relative to the housing, and are associated with first and second chambers respectively. A barrier is disposed at least partially between the first and second plungers to form the first and second chambers. The barrier is slidably displaceable relative to the plungers and barrel to selectively place the first and second chambers including first and second materials respectively in fluid communication. When the barrier is displaced, the first and second materials mix in a combined volume of the first and second chambers. Displacing the first plunger, the second plunger, and the barrier may dispense the mixed materials from the combined volume.
AUTOINJECTOR WITH MULTICHAMBER PRODUCT CONTAINER
An autoinjector for discharging one or more liquid products includes: a housing containing a multichamber product container, which includes a syringe body and an injection needle rigidly arranged at the distal end of the syringe body. The syringe body includes a first chamber for a first liquid product, a second chamber for a second liquid product, and a bypass for fluidically connecting the first chamber and second chamber. The bypass is formed in or on the syringe body in the form of a curved section protruding radially outwards, and two plungers are arranged in the syringe body in an axially movable manner.
AUTOMATIC INJECTOR
An automatic injector dispenses a predetermined dose of medicament without a user having to manually force the needle into an injection site. The automatic injector includes a needle cover having a locked retracted position with respect to the injector housing prior to a medicament dispensing operation. The needle cover is operative to engage an injection site prior to a medicament dispensing operation.
Sealed Multi Chamber Syringe for Storage, Mixing and Delivery of Multi Part Substances
A syringe device with preferred and alternate embodiments structured to store, mix (if appropriate), and dispense multiple compounds (fluids, gels, suspensions, powdered solids, etc.) without the need for multiple syringes or the repeated use of a syringe. In a first embodiment, the device stores two separate compounds for use and mixes the compounds before dispensing the combined mixture. In a second embodiment, the device stores two separate fluids for use and dispenses the first fluid followed sequentially by dispensing the second. The device may be used with a variety of dispensing structures such as an applicator or a cannula (syringe needle). The present invention finds specific application, for example, in a syringe device for storing and combining a diluent with a lyophilized drug/vaccine. Overall, the device structures a unique arrangement of chambers and channels for the accurate storage, mixing, and dispensing of multiple compounds (fluids, gels, suspensions, powdered solids, etc.).
INJECTION HEAD AND CHEMICAL INJECTION DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
A chemical-liquid injection head including a syringe holding unit which holds a syringe in which a piston member is slidably inserted into a cylinder member having a circular cylindrical shape, a piston driving mechanism having a ram member for moving the piston member of the syringe, and a first light emitting portion which emits light with a first color and illuminates the syringe and a second light emitting portion which emits light with a second color and illuminates the syringe. The first light emitting portion and the second light emitting portion, viewed in a posture at the time of use of the injection head, are provided at an upper side of the ram member.
