INTRAOSSEOUS NEEDLE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
An intraosseous needle includes a cylindrical shaft. The cylindrical shaft includes a first portion comprising a plurality of threads protruding from the cylindrical shaft. The cylindrical shaft includes a second portion comprising a plurality of fenestrations, disposed between the first portion and a distal end of the cylindrical shaft, wherein the cylindrical shaft is continuous and smooth within the second portion, and where the continuous, smooth second portion is longer than the first portion. The intraosseous needle also includes a needle head extending from a proximal end of the cylindrical shaft.
Syringe with Multifunctional Plunger Handle
A medical syringe useful for administering an injection or withdrawing a bodily fluid, the syringe comprising a barrel, plunger assembly and a needle assembly having a selectively retractable needle, the plunger assembly further comprising a plunger handle with a plunger seal and a front tip extending forwardly of the plunger seal to extend through the barrel and into the an annular fluid seal disposed in a recess between the barrel and a forwardly projecting needle, thereby reducing dead space inside the syringe and helping anchor the annular fluid seal inside the recess.
Dual lumen IV administration set
A dual lumen IV administration set includes a first lumen having an inner diameter of a first value. A second lumen is paired with the first lumen, and the second lumen has an inner diameter of a second value that is greater than the first value. A flow merger merges flow output from a distal end of the first lumen and flow output from a distal end of the second lumen to form a single flow output in an exit lumen. An injection port intersects the first lumen, thereby providing injection access to flow therethrough, prior to merging with the flow output of the second lumen.
Pen needle attachment mechanisms
User-friendly attachment mechanisms for pen needles provide improved handling and ease of use, including locking installation and removal features and sensory feedback when a needle-bearing hub is seated on a pen.
Composition for bone regeneration
The composition for bone regeneration, comprises a) a first phase (3) comprising a plurality of cross-linked hydrogel chunks (1) having a mean diameter of less than 1000 μm and incorporating an amount of mineral particles (2); and b) a second phase (4) comprising a physiologically-compatible aqueous liquid acting as a carrier for the chunks; the chunks being embedded in the second phase (4). The mineral particles (2) have a mean diameter of less than 10 μm and the amount of the mineral particles (2) is less than 20 weight-% of the first phase.

Automatic injection device with improved syringe retention
An automatic injection device includes an end sleeve and a syringe support mounted slidably with respect to the end sleeve. The syringe support is intended to carry an injection syringe provided with an injection needle and with a cap for protecting the injection needle. The automatic injection device includes a membrane formed by at least two locking elements which are mounted so as to slide substantially radially in the end sleeve between a configuration permitting passage of the cap for protecting the injection syringe, in which configuration limit stops of the at least two locking elements, intended to cooperate with a shoulder of the injection syringe, are moved away from each other, and a configuration permitting immobilization of the injection syringe, in which configuration the limit stops of the at least two locking elements are moved towards each other.
Administration of a vaccine or emergency administration of a medicament using a dental carpule
An illustrated view of an exemplary emergency kit for use in an emergency medical condition and a method for automating the ordering of the emergency kits for dentist is presented. The emergency kit is useful for providing short-term medical relief in an emergency while waiting for ambulance or other emergency medical personnel to arrive at the scene. The emergency kit provides a useful medical syringe for use by a dentist in a mouth of a patient experiencing an emergency medical condition.
Injector device
An injector device includes a housing and a cartridge having a reservoir for medicament. The injector device further includes a needle unit comprising a needle, and an actuator. The needle unit is movably mounted to the housing and, prior to use of the injector device the reservoir, is sealed from the needle. The actuator is configured to move the needle unit 5 into engagement with the cartridge such that the needle is moved into fluid communication with the reservoir. A thread is arranged to cause rotation of the needle unit as the needle unit moves into engagement with the cartridge.
SAFETY IV CATHETER WITH V-CLIP INTERLOCK AND NEEDLE TIP CAPTURE
A catheter assembly (10) comprises a catheter (22), a needle (12) having a sharp distal tip, a catheter hub (14) housing the catheter (22), the catheter hub (14) having a collar (34) including a notch (36), a needle shield (20) connected to the catheter hub (14) when the needle (12) is in a first position, and a clip (40) disposed in the needle shield (20) that cooperates with the needle (12), wherein the clip (40) engages the catheter hub (14) in the first position of the needle (12), and the clip (40) disengages the catheter hub (14) via the notch (36) when the needle (12) is retracted to a second position to cover at least a portion of the needle (12). The clip (40) is mounted in the outer housing (38) of the needle shield (20) via a spade (66) having an outer wall (70) exposed to the outside of the needle shield (20), in order to reduce the overall width of the needle shield (20).
