Injection monitoring circuitry is provided for coupling to part of an injection device having a syringe and a plunger rod. The injection monitoring circuitry has an input to receive force measurement data from a force sensor, the force measurement data includes a plurality of timestamped force measurements of force applied by a user to the injection device when an injection is administered to an injection site. Processing circuitry is provided to determine from the force measurement data when an end of injection has been reached, the end of injection corresponding to the plunger rod having reached an end position in a distal portion of the barrel of the syringe during administration of the injection by the user. Machine readable instructions and an injection monitoring method are also provided.

An implant injection device includes an injection needle, a receiver housing receiving at least a first implant and a second implant, an injection mechanism, including a pushing rod arranged upstream from the implants and configured to push the implants through the injection needle between an initial position and a final position in which the implants are injected, a pushing device for pushing on the pushing rod, configured to exert a force to move the pushing rod from the initial position to the final position, an intermediate stop device holding the pushing rod in an intermediate position and opposing the force exerted by the pushing device when a stroke of the pushing rod reaches a predetermined distance corresponding to a length of injection of the first implant, and an actuator for actuation by a user, configured to release the pushing rod from the intermediate position to the final position.

A method of treatment may include providing a syringe having medicinal fluid therein for administering to a patient and coupling an attachment portion of an extrusion accessory having a handle and a pawl to a flange portion of the syringe. The pawl may have first and second ends, and be hingedly and rotatably coupled relative to the handle at a first position at the first end and at a second position between the first and second ends. The method may further include applying a force to translate the handle in a direction substantially perpendicular relative to a longitudinal axis of the syringe to cause axial movement of the second end of the pawl. The second end of the pawl may be engaged with a plunger of the syringe and axial movement of the second end of the pawl may drive the plunger forward to extrude the medicinal fluid from the syringe.
