MANUAL SUCTION DEVICE FOR THROMBUS CAPTURE AND REPERFUSION
A medical device is adapted for use in assisting with mechanical thrombectomy. The medical device may include a housing that is adapted to be held within a user's hand and a pump that is secured within the housing. A fluid inlet is adapted to receive fluid that is pulled towards the pump and is fluidly coupled with the pump. A fluid outlet is adapted to expel fluid away from the pump and is fluidly coupled with the pump. As the pump is operated by the user, fluid is alternatively pulled into the fluid inlet and expelled through the fluid outlet. In some cases, the fluid may be blood or other bodily fluids.
Blood purification apparatus and method of discharging bubbles therefrom
Microbubbles detached from a blood circuit and a blood purification unit are discharged with the use of a backflow generated at the instant that a roller of a blood pump releases a squeezable tube. In a normal rotation step, a region filled with a priming solution after a priming step is closed by a closing unit, and a rotor of a blood pump is rotated normally until a roller of the blood pump releases a squeezable tube to generate a backflow. After the backflow is generated at the release of the squeezable tube by the roller of the blood pump, bubbles are moved by reversely rotating the rotor while disabling the closing by the closing unit. Thus, the bubbles are discharged through a discharge unit.

BLOOD PUMP FOR CAUSING BLOOD TO FLOW IN ONE DIRECTION AND BLOOD OXIDATION SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
A blood pump for causing blood to flow in one direction is used for a blood oxidation system that circulates blood in a body to an oxidizer so as to supply oxygen into the body from outside the body. The blood pump includes an outer wall having a gas outlet port formed through a lateral surface thereof; a blood chamber having a pouch which is inserted into the outer wall and of which opposite ends are connected to opposite ends of the outer wall, respectively; a pump injection valve fluid-communicably coupled to one end of the blood chamber and blocking blood from flowing to the blood chamber; and a pump discharge valve fluid-communicably coupled to the other end of the blood chamber and blocking blood from flowing from the blood chamber.
SYSTEM FOR ULTRAFILTRATION OF BLOOD
A blood ultrafiltration system comprises a blood filter with first and second compartments separated by a semipermeable membrane. Blood input and blood output lines are connected in fluid communication with the first compartment. An effluent line is connected in fluid communication with the second compartment. A peristaltic pump is arranged for repeated engagement with first and second line segments. In a first arrangement, the first line segment is part of the blood input line or the blood output line and the second line segment is part of the effluent line. In a second arrangement, the first line segment is part of the blood input line and the second line segment is part of the blood output line. The system is operable, by the peristaltic pump, to pump blood through the blood filter and control the extraction of ultrafiltrate in the blood filter.
PUMPING CASSETTE
A pump cassette is disclosed. The pump cassette includes a housing having at least one fluid inlet line and at least one fluid outlet line. The cassette also includes at least one reciprocating pressure displacement membrane pump within the housing. The pressure pump pumps a fluid from the fluid inlet line to the fluid outlet line. A hollow spike is also included on the housing as well as at least one metering pump. The metering pump is fluidly connected to the hollow spike on the housing and to a metering pump fluid line. The metering pump fluid line is fluidly connected to the fluid outlet line.

Method and apparatus of manufacturing medical device
A method of manufacturing a medical device including a case having a first and a second case portion mated together. The case having a space inside and an elastic membrane attached to the case. A first housing space covered by the first case portion and a second housing space covered by the second case portion. Fixing parts at peripheries of the first and the second case portions and at which the first and the second case portions are mated. Holding surfaces at the peripheries of the first and the second case portions. A sealing part at the periphery of the first or the second ease portions with respect to the fixing parts and that seals an entirety of the peripheral edge of the elastic membrane. Forming an air gap between the sealing part and the fixing parts by depressurization or heating the fixing parts that connect the case portions.
