METHOD FOR MAINTAINING THE COLOR OF DYED AND/OR HIGHLIGHTED KERATIN FIBRES
A method for the color retention of dyed keratin fibers is provided herein. The method includes i. applying a cosmetic composition to dyed keratin fibers as a pretreatment agent for keratin. The method further includes ii. subjecting the keratin fibers to a dyeing and/or brightening within a period of about 5 seconds to about 24 hours after to step i. The cosmetic composition has, based on its own weight, from about 0.01 to about 4.00% by weight of at least one alum and a pH value in the range of about 2.5 to about 5.
Color protectant compositions
Provided herein are color protectant compositions for dyed human hair, and methods for determining the same.
PRETREATMENT COMPOSITION OF A PROCESS FOR DYEING OR BLEACHING KERATIN FIBERS
The present invention relates to a pretreatment composition of a process for dyeing or bleaching keratin fibers, comprising at least 5% by weight of one or more particular amino acids and at least 5% by weight of one or more monoalcohols, and alsoto a dyeing or bleaching process using the pretreatment composition.
Compositions for coloring hair including ultra-efficient high aqueous, multi-lamellar emulsion systems, and methods of making the same
This disclosure relates to a composition for coloring hair containing comprising a multi-lamellar gel emulsion, which includes a haircolor formulation, and a method of making the same. The multi-lamellar gel emulsion includes about 0.5 wt % to about 4.0 wt % of cosmetically acceptable emulsifying fats, a cosmetically acceptable non-ionic surfactant, a water-soluble suspending polymer, and at least 80 wt % of water.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION
A cosmetic composition including the following components (A) to (C), (A) a silicone film-forming agent, (B) a high-molecular-weight organopolysiloxane, (C) an organopolysiloxane having a polyalkylene oxide moiety and a cationic group, other than the component (A) and the component (B). The cosmetic composition is a hair dye composition or a hair cosmetic composition.
COMPOSITION FOR HAIR TREATMENT, CONTAINING OLEFIN-BASED UNSATURATED HYDROCARBON-CONTAINING OIL
The present disclosure provides a composition for hair and fiber treatment which supplies a transition metal as a catalyst to a thiol residue formed when hair or fiber is damaged in a process of chemical or physical care, and rapidly and abundantly binds an olefin-based unsaturated hydrocarbon through a thiol-ene reaction, thereby continuously providing smoothness to the hair and fiber.
SCALP PROTECTION COMPOSITION
Disclosed herein is a scalp protection composition that includes a carboxylate compound, an emulsifier, and water. The carboxylate compound is represented by formula (I):
##STR00001##
In formula (I), R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.4-C.sub.8 alkyl group, and R.sup.2 represents a C.sub.10-C.sub.26 alkyl group.
HAIR TREATMENT COMPOSITIONS PROVIDING BRIGHTENING AND SHINE
The instant disclosure relates to hair treatment compositions that provide brightening, shine, and luster to hair, wherein the hair treatment compositions include: (a) ascorbyl glucoside; (b) ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, a salt thereof, or a combination thereof; (c) one or more nonionic thickening agents; and (d) water. Also disclosed are methods for using the hair treatment compositions, for example, for enhancing brightness, shine, luster of the hair.
METHOD FOR IMPROVING COLOUR RETENTION OF DYED KERATINOUS MATERIAL, ESPECIALLY HUMAN HAIR
An objective of the present disclosure is a process for improving the color retention on keratinous material which has been colored by application of at least one pigment, wherein an aftertreatment agent is applied to the colored keratinous material and, if necessary, is rinsed off again after a reaction time, wherein the aftertreatment agent is (N-1) Water comprises, (N-2) has a pH value of 7.0 to 12.5, and (N-3) comprises at least one salt of a divalent cation.
METHODS FOR FIXING HAIR AND SKIN
Compositions, kits, and methods for repairing bonds, for example, disulfide bonds, in hair or on the skin are disclosed. The compositions provide improved conditioning benefit for dry hair or moisturize the skin. The compositions also provide a long lasting moisturized feel and smooth feel to the skin or hair, without feeling greasy. The compositions contain one or more compounds that covalently bind at least two thiol groups in the hair or on the skin. Use of the binding compositions prevents reversion of the repaired bonds to their free thiol state, for at least one week or one month, or more, after a single application of the composition. Improved methods of styling hair, for example permanent hair waving, hair curling, hair coloring or highlighting, and hair straightening, are also provided.
