Fire extinguishers with inverted internal domes
11534636 · 2022-12-27 · ·

A fire extinguisher includes a main dome partially surrounding an internal space housing agent. A secondary dome is mounted to the main dome and is inverted with respect to the main dome. The secondary dome can have a radius of curvature that is equal to, greater than, or less than that of the main dome. The discharge outlet can include a discharge outlet configured to discharge laterally relative to an axis of symmetry of the main dome and the secondary dome.

Fire extinguishing appliance adjustable in foam expansion ratio
09844690 · 2017-12-19 ·

A fire extinguishing appliance adjustable in foam expansion ratio includes a main body, a spray-head seat connected with the main body, and a guide unit. The main body is provided with an agent chamber received therein with a non-toxic agent, while the guide unit is formed with an inlet, an outlet and an inner wall having a damping piece mounted thereon. Thus, when the non-toxic agent is actuated to pass through the inlet and get into the guide unit, the non-toxic agent will collide with the damping piece and rotate to carry out foaming, able to enhance the foam expansion ratio, the mixing efficiency and the fire extinguishing efficiency of the non-toxic agent.

Self-expanding fire-fighting foam solution
11247085 · 2022-02-15 ·

A method of manufacturing a self-expanding fire-fighting foam solution is disclosed. Here, the method can include purging air from a container, wherein the purging is performed via flowing an inert gas into the container, such that substantially inert environment is created within the container. In addition, the method can further include dispensing or filling a pre-determined amount of foam concentrate into a container, dispensing or filling a pre-determined amount of water into the container, and mixing the foam concentrate and water within the container, wherein the mixed foam and water within the inert container provide the self-expanding fire-fighting foam solution and having a pH ranging from about 6.8 to 7.8 moles per liter.

ULLAGE PRESSURE-DRIVEN VALVE FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION

A fire suppression system includes a feed port and a channel to couple the feed port to an actuation chamber. A solenoid valve controllably blocks a connection between the feed port and the channel. Pressure from the feed port builds up in the actuation chamber based on the solenoid valve unblocking the connection. A piston is in communication with the actuation chamber. The system also includes an inlet port closed off by a disc. The piston travels through the inlet port and burst the disc based on the pressure in the actuation chamber. An outlet port is coupled to the inlet port.

A fire extinguisher includes a body defining a storage chamber containing an extinguishing agent, a gas generator configured to pressurize the extinguishing agent in order to dispense it outside the body through an exit opening. The exit opening is equipped with a misting nozzle, and the extinguishing agent has a solidification temperature less than −10° C., the saturating vapor concentration of the extinguishing agent taken at −10° C. and at 1 bar being less than the extinguishing concentration of the extinguishing agent determined according to the ISO 14520 standard for a heptane fire at 1 bar.

Dynamic fire suppression system and method i'hereof

A fire suppression system having a first triggering mechanism capable of being remotely triggered in response to a fire condition and a second manual triggering mechanism. More particularly, the fire extinguisher includes a valve for a fire extinguisher capable of manual and automatic operation. The system further includes a mechanism to notify of inoperable local status. During automatic operation, the system can be being triggered by a control panel in electrical communication, such as in response to a signal from smoke detectors. This system may also be manually triggered or in response to a temperature threshold sensor or other sensors. The valve includes an actuator that provides a separate area to place a safety pin for storing securely, and which provides feedback to the control system that the safety pin is properly stored and therefore, the fire extinguisher is active.
