Compressed Gas Fire Extinguisher Apparatus and Methods
A fire extinguisher includes a first tank containing liquid foam concentrate and a second tank coupled therewith that contains compressed air. A first manifold located inside the first tank defines a cavity having at least one opening for receiving the compressed air and at least one opening for receiving the liquid foam concentrate. A second manifold is coupled with the second tank. A Schrader valve is coupled with the second manifold and is selectively actuatable to introduce compressed air into the second tank. A first conduit extends between the first tank and the second manifold of the second tank and provides fluid communication between the first and second tanks. A second conduit is in fluid communication with the first tank and a nozzle. The nozzle is selectively actuatable to discharge a foam formed when compressed air and foam concentrate solution pass through the cavity of the first manifold.
