In one or more arrangements, a system is presented for preventing the spread of fire through a conveyor opening in a fire wall. In one or more arrangements, a fire door system is connected to the fire wall and/or conveyor proximate to the conveyor opening. The fire door system includes a door assembly, a door frame assembly, and an actuator. The door frame assembly is connected to the fire wall, covers portions of the opening below the conveyor and between belts of the conveyor, and forms a door opening above the conveyor. The door assembly is configured to move between a closed position, where door assembly covers the door opening, and an open position, where the door assembly at least partially uncovers the door opening. The actuator is configured to cause the door to be moved to the closed position in response to fire.

A firestop device includes a collar to be mounted to a surface at wall penetration of a plastic pipe. The collar includes a first collar half and a second collar half, having corresponding end portions which are connected to each other. A fire resistant foldable cap is circumferentially connected to the collar for closing off the penetration location when the pipe is collapsed. In case of a fire an actuation assembly moves the fire resistant foldable cap over the penetration location to close it off. The collar is a fold-out collar in which said corresponding ends of the first and second collar halves are hingedly connected to each other to be moveable from a folded state, in which the second collar half substantially overlaps the first collar half, to a folded out state, in which the first collar half and the second collar half form a ring shaped collar.

A freight container (1) has a frame to which a bottom (2), a roof (3), and sides (5-7) are attached, one side having a door opening closeable by a folding door (12) made of flexible, fire resistant material. The door (12) is supported from runners (13) moveable along a rail (14) combined with a top member (9) of a frame delimiting the door opening. A gap (15) is formed between the top frame member (9) and the top of the door (12) in its closed condition. The top member (9) is provided with a depending support (16) having a surface facing the inside of the door (12) and having attached thereto a strip of heat intumescent material (20). A flow passage (18) is formed between the strip (20) and the door (12) for gasses attempting to escape from the container through the gap (15) in a fire inside the container. The heat intumescent material (20) is arranged to swell and close the flow passage (18) when subjected to hot gasses from the fire inside the container.
