An assembly for an aircraft, the assembly including a pylon with a lateral wall pierced by a window, a tank with a neck blocked by a film and carrying a first anchoring arrangement, and a fixing arrangement for fixing at least a part of the tank bearing the neck inside the pylon, a discharge pipe, and a discharge head. The head includes an explosive cartridge and a hole with a second anchoring arrangement in which discharges the discharge pipe. The discharge head is fixed inside the pylon facing the window. The explosive cartridge is designed to generate in the hole a shockwave sufficient to rupture the film. An assembly of this kind enables simple and rapid removal of the tank from and installation thereof inside the pylon.

A fire extinguishing system is provided for a tire of a vehicle. The fire extinguishing system includes fire extinguishing injectors filled with fire extinguishing chemicals and installed in the vehicle to be able to inject the fire extinguishing chemical to the tire. A fire detection line is installed to connect between the fire extinguishing injectors. Each of the fire extinguishing injectors is configured to inject the fire extinguishing chemical when a fire of the tire is detected through the fire detection line.

The present invention relates to: a smart fire-extinguishing device for automatically performing a fire-extinguishing operation by detecting the outbreak of a fire; and a smart fire-extinguishing system including same, and provides a smart fire-extinguishing device comprising: a chemical storage part in which fire-extinguishing chemicals are filled; a fuse part for exhibiting explosive force so that the fire-extinguishing chemicals of the chemical storage part are jetted to the outside; and a fire detection part, which detects at least one from among temperature, flames and smoke, compares a detection result with a pre-set fire outbreak reference value so as to determine whether a fire breaks out, and operates the fuse part according to a determination result so as to jet out the fire-extinguishing chemicals.

A battery arrangement with a battery housing in which at least one battery element is arranged. The battery arrangement includes an extinguishing device which has at least one extinguishing unit which is also arranged in the battery housing. The extinguishing unit includes a housing element and an extinguishing agent which is arranged in a cavity in the housing element. The extinguishing unit has a detonation mechanism which is designed to cause a detonation of the housing element and a release of the extinguishing agent in the form of an aerosol when a predetermined fire condition, which results from a fire in the at least one battery element, is present.

A container holding a fire suppressing powder has a top, a cylindrical sidewall and a bottom with a hole, the bottom having a score line defining a segment. An explosive material housing containing an explosive material is mounted to a head of a mounting member. The mounting member has a lower portion smaller in cross-sectional dimension than the head, depending downward from the head and extending through the hole in the bottom. A retainer is secured around the lower portion of the mounting member below the bottom to secure the mounting member to the bottom. A fuse extends through the hole in the bottom, a passage in the mounting member, and into the explosive material housing. A plate is mounted within the container a selected distance below the top, the plate being movable a short distance toward and away from the top in response to ignition of the explosive material.

There is provided a fire extinguisher comprising a fire extinguishing agent; a first mechanism configured to operate said fire extinguisher via a manual operation; a second mechanism configured to operate said fire extinguisher automatically; and wherein said fire extinguisher comprises at least one detector to detect the existence of a fire and cause the operation of said second mechanism.

There is provided a fire extinguisher comprising a fire extinguishing agent; a first mechanism configured to operate said fire extinguisher via a manual operation; a second mechanism configured to operate said fire extinguisher automatically; and wherein said fire extinguisher comprises at least one detector to detect the existence of a fire and cause the operation of said second mechanism.

A method and apparatus for delivering fire retardant to a ground fire from an aircraft. The apparatus includes a dispenser casing that dispenses fire retardant after the casing has been released from an aircraft. The apparatus includes a dispenser fuse that actuates the dispenser casing to dispense the fire retardant in response to one or more predetermined conditions.
