MIXED-SPRAY FIREFIGHTING DEVICE
The application discloses a mixed-spray firefighting device, which includes a water nozzle and a powder nozzle. The water nozzle is disposed around an outside of the powder nozzle, and a powder spray port of the powder nozzle is provided behind a water spray port of the water nozzle. A fire-extinguishing agent powder sprayed from the powder nozzle and a water flow sprayed from the water nozzle are mixed in air outside the firefighting device. The fire-extinguishing agent powder is preferably sodium polyacrylate resin powder. The application solves the technical bottleneck of using the sodium polyacrylate resin powder as a fire-extinguishing agent in the prior art, so that the sodium polyacrylate resin powder can be sprayed into a fire field smoothly and continuously without blocking the powder spray port.
Apparatus for diluting and applying firefighting chemical
This relates to apparatus that can form dilute aqueous firefighting compositions from an aqueous concentrate.
ADMIXING SYSTEM FOR FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH AN ADMIXING SYSTEM
An admixing system for fire-extinguishing installations is provided for generating a mixture (premix) of extinguishing medium and extinguishing medium additive by admixing an extinguishing medium additive to an extinguishing medium. The admixing system has a motor that can be driven by a flow of extinguishing medium, an admixing pump that is connected to the motor and serves for supplying the extinguishing medium additive to an extinguishing medium additive inlet line, an admixing line, and an extinguishing medium additive outlet line from which the extinguishing medium additive is admixed to the extinguishing medium in the admixing line. The admixing pump is a piston pump having multiple cylinders and at least two outputs connected to the cylinders. At least one first output, through which return flow is possible, can be switchably fluidically connected either to a return flow line through which the extinguishing medium additive flows back to the admixing pump, or to the extinguishing medium additive outlet line. If the extinguishing medium additive flows from the return-flow-compatible output back to the admixing pump, it is therefore not admixed to the extinguishing medium in the admixing line. Thus, the admixing rate can be changed simply by means of this switching.
Fire protection system
A fire protection system that includes a fluid supply and a fluid delivery apparatus. The fluid delivery apparatus receives fluid from the fluid supply and delivers a protectant solution to a building to prevent the building from catching fire. The fluid delivery apparatus includes an expansion chamber having an inlet for receiving fluid from the fluid supply, and an outlet where the protectant solution exits the expansion chamber. The fluid delivery apparatus also includes a resource line in fluid communication with the expansion chamber to provide a flame resistant substance to the expansion chamber from a reservoir. Further, the fluid delivery apparatus includes a vent line in fluid communication with the reservoir and the expansion chamber, a pressure difference between the vent line and the resource line causes the fluid in the vent line to push the flame resistant substance from the reservoir to the expansion chamber via the resource line. A method of installing the fire protection system on a building. The fluid delivery apparatus of the fire protection system can be provided to receive fluid from the fluid supply and positioned adjacent to desirous parts of the building to deliver a protectant solution from the fluid delivery apparatus to the building.
Self-contained fire protection system
A “FirePOD” provides a self-contained, portable, standalone fire protection system that enables property owners, firefighters or others to mix and apply fire-protective gel or foam to entities such as structures, vehicles, vegetation, etc., to protect those entities from wildfire events or other external fire incidents. In various implementations, the FirePOD includes a recirculation-based mixing system for combining a mixture comprising a powder, liquid, or gel-based Thermal Protective Substance (TPS) with a volume of water or other liquid to produce the fire-protective gel or foam. By applying reconfigurable valves, one or more pumps are applied to both recirculate the mixture and, when sufficiently mixed, apply the resulting fire-protective gel or foam via one or more hoses or other dispensing mechanisms. In various implementations, the FirePOD is movable, and is manually or automatically propelled to locations suitable for applying the fire-protective gel or foam.
ADMIXING SYSTEM FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH AN ADMIXING SYSTEM
A admixing system for fire extinguishing systems for producing an extinguishing agent-extinguishing agent additive mixture (premix) by mixing an extinguishing agent additive with an extinguishing agent. The admixing system has a motor that can be driven by a flow of extinguishing agent, an admixing pump connected to the motor for pumping the extinguishing agent additive, an admixing line, and an extinguishing agent additive line, from which the extinguishing agent additive is mixed with the extinguishing agent in the admixing line. The admixing system has a branching line, from which a part of the flow of extinguishing agent can be branched off if the load in the fire extinguishing system only requires a small flow of extinguishing agent. In this manner, the flow of extinguishing agent flowing through the motor is artificially increased so that the motor runs in a higher rotational speed range in which a reliable operation of the motor is ensured (a so-called start-up flow reduction). The admixing system has a motor rotational speed measuring device and a controller, said controller being designed to completely or partly open and/or close the branching valve on the basis of the motor rotational speed measured by the motor rotational speed measuring device.
