A pedaling exercise machine according to the present embodiment includes: a pair of right and left pedal portions on which feet of a user are placed; a rotation mechanism that rotates the pedal portions when the feet of the user step on the pedal portions; a seating portion that is disposed on a rear end side of the rotation mechanism separately from the rotation mechanism and on which the user is seated; a fixing member disposed on a front end side of the rotation mechanism; and a belt member that is detachably connected to the seating portion and provided to extend from the fixing member to the seating portion.
Hippotherapy device
A hippotherapy device includes a saddle for receiving a person thereon, a programmable movement control, and an automatic movement device for automatically moving the saddle according to a movement pattern program. The program specifies a sequence of target values of positions and orientations of the saddle in the locality of the movement device in order to execute the movement pattern. A garment/device/support system, system and method for a wheelchair bound person includes one or two sleeves that are worn on the arms. The sleeves are connected by straps to a chassis or vest worn on the torso. The straps are affixed using Velcro or other fasteners that transfer motion of the wearer's arms to the chassis or vest. Motion, energy and stimulation are transferred to muscle groups, viscera, organs, and body parts in other parts of the body through the motion of the arms as the user moves about in the wheelchair. A cape may be affixed to the vest including shoulder straps connected to a center back portion and extending to a lower portion for positioning beneath and/or attaching to the user's hips or legs. A seat cushion and belt may be provided.
ADAPTIVE BASKETBALL SHOOTING DEVICES
Adaptive basketball shooting devices are disclosed that allow a person with limited use of his or her arms to shoot a basket from a seated position in a wheelchair. In preferred implementations, the device allows a person with limited mobility to pick up, carry, and shoot a basketball. Some devices include a frame, a conveyor configured to retrieve a ball from a surface on which the wheelchair is positioned, e.g., a floor or a paved basketball court, and in cooperation with the frame convey the ball vertically relative to the frame, and a driven wheel mounted on the frame and configured to eject the ball upward from the device.
