FREE WEIGHT BAR STABILIZER
A free weight bar stabilizer, to be used with a standard size bar and attached barbell plates. The stabilizer includes a beam pivotally attached to a frame at a pivot point so that it is angularly movable in an arc between a raised position and a lowered position, and a carriage attached to the beam so that it is linearly movable radially out from the pivot point between a retracted position and an extended position. The carriage includes spaced distal arms with attachment points for attaching the bar to support its opposing ends. The bar is thus freely movable within an envelope defined by the ranges of the simultaneous angular movement of the beam and the linear movement of the attachment points on the carriage. The free weight bar stabilizer may also include a carriage counterweight that simultaneously moves on the beam in the opposite direction of the carriage to counterbalance the weight of the carriage, so it does not add to the quantity of the weight being lifted and reduce push and pull of the carraige. Further, the bar stabilizer may include an assisting weight mechanism to assist when working heavy negitives, by providing a counterweight to reduce the actual weight being lifted at a predetermined point as the beam moves toward the lowered position.
WEIGHTED PIVOT ARM APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
A weighted pivot arm apparatus attached to a weight rack component, comprising: a body having an upper end and a lower end and extending along longitudinal axis; an attachment point disposed on the body comprising at least one wing with a hole therethrough and wherein the attachment point is rotatably mounted to the weight rack component; and, an impact bumper disposed on a lower end of the body.
Exercise Apparatus And Systems And Methods For Using Same
Apparatus, systems, and methods for executing a tire flip weight lifting exercise. The disclosed apparatus includes a chassis and a tire assembly that is lifted and flipped during the exercise. The tire assembly includes a support bar that extends through a tire. The tire assembly also includes bearing assemblies that engage arms of a torsion bar that is pivotable with respect to the chassis to provide for safe and controlled movement of the tire assembly during the lifting exercise. When the lift is completed, rollers engage the tire assembly so that the tire assembly can roll back to the starting position at least in part due to the force of gravity.
Abdominal twist exercise device
An abdominal twist exercise device includes a device frame, front and rear rotational axles, a main handle bar, a rotation converter, an adjustable gear, a disengaging lever, a weight, a weight bar, a support rail, a safety handle bar, rotation counters, and a user platform, such that when the main handle bar rotates to one side, the user platform rotates to an opposing side. A rotation converter can include a front chain sprocket, an intermediate rotational axle, an intermediate chain sprocket, a roller chain, an intermediate gear, a rear gear; or a front belt sprocket, a rear belt sprocket, and a twisted belt, connecting the sprockets. Optionally, the front and rear axles can be telescoping.
Exercise Device
A multi-purpose home workout device. The device comprises a resistive weight with an open channel designed to allow an axle to pass therethrough, such that the axle is operably connected to a wheel, and an outer frame. The outer frame further includes a pair of bracer arms designed to receive the axle and to redistribute the weight of a user across the outer frame. The wheel includes an open interior space and is positioned between the bracer arms such that the resistive weight can rest on the axle within the interior space. Furthermore, the orientation of the wheel and the outer frame allow both to rotate about the axle without interfering with one another's movement. As such the outer frame is predisposed to tilting at non-horizontal angles when in use, and thereby forces a user to train their balance, strength and coordination simultaneously.
Barbell pivot apparatus
The present disclosure is directed to facilitating angled barbell exercises. An embodiment of the present disclosure includes an apparatus for facilitating angled barbell exercises which includes a receiving surface having a substantially concave front side including a central region and a back side; and a support frame coupled to the back side of the receiving surface, the support frame including a floor support having a planar surface and a wall support having a planar surface; wherein the planar surface of the floor support is horizontal and positioned to contact a floor; and wherein the planar surface of the wall support is vertical and positioned to contact a wall that is perpendicular to the floor.
MULTI-DIMENSIONAL ARTICULATING USER SUPPORT EXERCISE MACHINE
Improved exercise machines having a movable user engagement member and a user support movably mounted on a movable slide support surface and a slidable wedge concurrently engaging the movable slide support surface and a stationary slide support surface and an operative linkage system connecting the user engagement and the slidable wedge such that movement of the user engagement causes the slidable wedge to engage the slide support surfaces changing the distance between at least a portion of the slide support surfaces and thereby creating a multi-dimensional articulating movement of the user support during an exercise motion.
AN APPARATUS FOR RESISTANCE TRAINING
An apparatus for resistance training comprising a frame supporting: a rotational pivot for providing rotation in a vertical plane; a horizontal reaction arm adapted to be moved by a human user; and an actuation arm rotatably mounted on the rotational pivot and rotationally mounted on the horizontal reaction arm; such that a force on the horizontal reaction arm causes the reaction arm to move about the rotational pivot whilst remaining horizontal. The frame further comprises a resistance means arranged to apply a user-selected resistive force that must be overcome to induce movement of the horizontal reaction arm from a rest position. The actuation arm has a length that is adjustable by the human user. The rotational pivot is vertically moveable within the frame. The horizontal reaction arm is capable of being moved in both a clockwise or anti-clockwise sense about the rotational pivot.
Training machine for strength training and rehabilitation
A training machine for strength training and rehabilitation having handles which are arranged to lift or lower a weight body via connection means and driving means provided to be moved in a continuous cycle by means of a first or positive, by the user intended exerted force towards said handles, to lift said predetermined weight body and by means of a second or negative, by the user intended exerted force towards said handles, to lower said predetermined weight body, wherein said first force is smaller than said second force. The training machine includes a tiltable arm which via, wheels and belts is connected to the handles and in that said weight body provided at or in the arm is arranged to be moved along the arm to predetermined positions depending on the load which shall be exerted on the handles.
