Methods and systems for an exoskeleton to reduce a runners metabolic rate
An exoskeleton comprising a right hip attachment, a left hip attachment, a belt and a leaf-spring. The leaf-spring configured to couple two hips and apply torque from one respective hip to another respective hip based on the runner's movement and a right gear mechanism and a left gear mechanism, the right gear mechanism and the left gear mechanism comprising respectively of rack-and-pinion mechanism and configured to change an arch of the leaf-spring.
Flexible members for anchoring to the body
A flexible anchor member comprising a member for placement about a body part; at least one substantially inextensible textile element circumscribing the member and secured to itself or the member; and a force transfer coupler coupling a portion of the at least one substantially inextensible textile element to an actuator such that the substantially inextensible textile element constricts about the member for a duration of an applied force. Another flexible anchor member comprising an outer member including a substantially inextensible textile material configured for directing a force applied by an actuator to act upon all or a portion of the body part; an inner member for positioning between the body part and the outer member, a first surface of the inner member configured for frictionally engaging the body part or intervening clothing; and at least one coupler for coupling the outer member and the inner member.
Fitness Training Equipment and Method of Use
An exercise apparatus for targeting the hip muscles is disclosed. The apparatus consists of a plurality of supports, a footboard, and a belt wherein elastic bands may be attached to the belt and to the base supports to provide resistance. The apparatus is fully adjustable for targeting muscles of interest, and collapsible for ready transport. Adjustable handles are optionally provided to maintain user stability and thus maximize the effectiveness of the exercise. A method of using the exercise equipment is also provided.
TRAINING DEVICE AND UTILIZING METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a training device and a utilizing method thereof. The training device includes a main assembly and a first attachment assembly. The main assembly includes a housing and a driving component. The driving component is disposed in the housing. The first attachment assembly includes a first rod and a first attachment component. An end of the first rod is connected to the driving component. The driving component drives the first rod to rotate. The first attachment component is disposed on the first rod and attaches to a user.
SQUAT AND SPINAL FITNESS AND REHABILITATION DEVICE
An exercise device including a frame extending across a first plane, the frame defining vertical stabilization bars extending in a second plane, the frame further defining a horizontal cross bar connecting the vertical stabilization bars and configured for supporting a lower leg of a user. A swivel base couples to the frame for supporting a foot of the user. The swivel base may be fixed in a variety of positions as well as set to somewhat freely rotate while coupled to a bias spring.
Portable therapeutic strengthening apparatus using adjustable resistance
A lightweight, portable leg strengthening apparatus includes a footplate and calf support which form a leg rest, a top a friction free sliding element running longitudinally along and supported on a rectangular base. The leg rest is hinged at its attachment to the sliding element to allow a longitudinal tilting movement. The leg rest has adjustability at the hinge point at the ankle to enable alterations in the foot position. The apparatus uses resistance material/rubber cords or springs attached via a plate to a steel cable, travelling via an aperture in the end of the device to the back of the sliding element a top the body of the device to create tension as the leg rest a top the sliding element is moved longitudinally along the body of the device. Resistance can be varied and progressed by using different numbers of resistance cords/springs.
Wearable device and operation method thereof
A wearable device may include a motor, a motor driver circuit, a frame connected to the motor, the frame to be worn on the body of the user to support the body, a processor configured to generate a control signal to control an electrical connection in the motor driver circuit, and a sensor configured to sense a body motion of the user. The processor is further configured to provide an exercise load through the frame according to a speed of the sensed body motion by controlling, based on the speed of the body motion, a changing ratio per time between a first control state in which the electrical connection in the motor driver circuit is a closed loop and a second control state in which the electrical connection in the motor driver circuit is an open loop.
Resistive device employing eddy current braking
A resistive device that enables adjustable resistance in at least one direction using an attachment system and associated eddy current braking system. The resistive device can be bench-mounted, in some embodiments, used for physical therapy caused by neuromuscular diseases, such as stroke and cerebral palsy, orthopedic disorders, general disuse, or even for overall fitness.
Exercise device having a linear arm portion
An exercise apparatus includes a linear arm portion having an elongate arm member with proximal and distal ends and an elongate support member having proximal and distal ends. The arm member can be slidably mounted to the support member by a sliding joint. A linear arm brake assembly can be coupled to the arm member for resisting linear motion of the arm member. A torso portion can be included to which the linear arm portion is rotatably mounted about a second axis by rotary shoulder joint. The linear arm portion can be configured, and the rotary shoulder joint can be positioned along the length of the support member at a location that substantially balances the linear arm portion about the rotary shoulder joint at least when the arm member is in the retracted position.
Walking assistance apparatus
A walking assistance apparatus includes a frame configured to be mounted on a lower leg of a user, a sole support connected to the frame and configured to support a lower side of a foot of the user, an actuator mounted on the frame, and a pusher configured to receive a power from the actuator and push the ground.
