YOGA TOWEL
A yoga towel is for use in conjunction with a suitable mat or converter that allows an existing mat to be retrofitted to be used with the present yoga towel. The yoga towel has one or more magnets and/or metal attached, advantageously to its perimeter and/or with a center portion of the towel. A suitable surface such as a yoga mat will have a complementary metal and/or magnet so that when the yoga towel is placed on the yoga mat, the yoga towel through magnetic forces (i.e. attraction) is held in place. Advantageously, in one form, the magnets and/or metal are strips in the yoga towel and/or yoga mat are in the form of flexible strips of magnetic material and/or metal.
FOOT-BASED MASSAGE APPARATUS
A method of administering a massage comprising providing a base member with a flexible member coupled to opposite sides of the base member. The base member is rested on top of a support surface so that connection points where the flexible member attaches to the base member are vertically disposed above the support surface. A patient is positioned on the base member and the support surface so that the patient is laying between the opposite sides of the base member. Force is delivered to the patient laying on the base member using a foot of a massage practitioner. The massage practitioner utilizes the flexible member to assist with balance of the massage practitioner while the force is delivered to the patient.
Responsive training device
An exemplary responsive training device for responding to user interaction with the device can be provided. For example, the responsive training device can be configured with a surface enclosing a compressible body. The responsive training device can further embed at least one sensor configured to sense a deformation of the compressible body and to generate a sensory output to a controller. The responsive training device can also embed a controller configured to control at least one transponder. Furthermore, the exemplary responsive training device can embed at least one transponder configured to provide an audio output and/or a visual output as a function of the sensor output.
System and methods for adjusting variable geometry, height, weight distribution dynamics in orthotic devices and equipment
An active suspension orthotic support system is disclosed. The suspension orthotic support system comprises at least one variable resistance beam extending from a heel section to a mid-arch section of the footwear, wherein rotation of the variable resistance beam from a first position to a second position causes a resistance provided by the variable resistance beam to vary between a minimum resistance to a maximum resistance.
ENERGY MAT
Aspects of the present disclosure include an exercise mat including a first layer that includes a plurality of interstices. The exercise mat includes a second layer that includes a plurality of protrusions that extend from the top surface of the second layer, contain a display element, and correspond to the plurality of interstices. The top surface of the second layer is connected to the bottom surface of the first layer. The exercise mat includes a third layer including a cavity defined at least in part by a plurality of side surfaces, and an electronic component within thfe cavity. The top surface of the third layer is connected to the bottom surface of the second layer, and the electronic component is communicatively coupled to the display element.
Exercise Mat
An improvement upon exercise devices embodying mats of single substrates, multiple substrates or similar construction is disclosed. The exercise device comprises of a single substrate or multiple substrates embodying a mat as the accompanying diagrams, wherein said mat has a top end, a bottom end, an attachment mechanism and a plurality of grab holes adapted capable of receiving human hands for a person performing an exercise, or the feet of the exerciser, or any such extensions to the legs and hands, or substituting them.
Abrasion Preventing Pad
A pad may be worn to prevent abrasion or provide a fulcrum during exercise. The pad has a tapering thickness profile to provide support and leverage to the wearer. The pad may have an adhesive side for adhering either to a garment or directly to a wearer. Also disclosed is a variety of garments including pockets in which the pad may be removably retained.
RESPIRATORY THERAPY DEVICES
An oscillatory respiratory therapy device 100 has an opening 8 to atmosphere through which air passes to the user. The device has a visual indicator 20 including a paper indicator 25 and a dye reservoir 29 mounted at the opening. Before use, the opening 8 is covered by a removable cover strip 21 that prevents air flowing through the opening. The cover strip 21 is attached to the dye reservoir 29 so that the reservoir is pulled against the paper indicator 25 when the cover strip is removed, thereby the device to be used. This causes dye to flow gradually from the reservoir 29 and spread outwardly across the paper indicator 25, which is marked to indicate duration of use.
Exercise mat including paint and paper chamber
The present disclosure is directed to an exercise mat including a base layer, the base layer defining a recess therein configured to receive a cartridge holding paint and a painting surface, a top layer operatively connected to the base layer, at least one magnet or other fastening mechanism embedded within the base layer, and at least one magnet embedded within the top layer.
SMART MAT
A key input device applicable to a smart mat is provided, where the key input device includes a first layer in which a plurality of row contacts are formed, a second layer in which a plurality of column contacts are formed, an insulating layer disposed between the first and second layers to form an insulating region and a current carrying region, and a processor configured to detect that at least one of a plurality of key switches formed by the plurality of row contacts and the plurality of column contacts is pressed.
