A composite panel structure has opposing outer walls or surfaces and a core comprising a plurality of ribs extending between and connected to the outer walls and defining chambers which are filled with expanding foams, non-expanding foams, gases, or a combination thereof. The outer panel surfaces and internal chamber walls or ribs are made of woven or non-woven fibrous material impregnated with one or more resins. The panel structure may be used for making a variety of products including sports equipment such as sports paddles, surfboards, kite boards, skateboards, wakeboards, as well as construction panels for walls, ceilings or floors, display panels, panels for the vehicle industry, furniture, and other structures requiring high strength to weight properties.

A method of operating an electronic basketball scoreboard apparatus is disclosed. The method includes receiving a game parameter; operating a basketball game based upon the received game parameter; receiving a first indication of a ball passing through a first basketball hoop; receiving a second indication of a ball passing through a second basketball hoop; determining a first score of the basketball game based on the first indication from the first score sensor; determining a second score of the basketball game based on the second indication from the second score sensor; recording video of the basketball game; transmitting the recorded video; and transmitting the first score and the second score.

A method for portable drill instruction for a sport can include: capturing a live video of a player of the sport in a venue for the sport playing a ball launched from a ball machine during a training drill for the player conducted in the venue; determining in response to the live video whether or not the player satisfies a training goal of the training drill when playing the ball; and providing a real-time feedback to the player during the training drill that indicates to the player whether or not the training goal is satisfied.

A sensor device includes an inertial sensor and a holding member. The holding member holds the inertial sensor and is capable of being attached to and detached from an end face of a grip being part of a sports implement and having the shape of a shaft. The holding member includes a sensor-side coupling part. The present disclosure provides a table tennis table. Compared with the existing design, according to the present disclosure, a whole table tennis table is divided into two table tennis table boards, and each table tennis table board can be folded into two plates. On one hand, the table board can be folded, which is convenient to transport. A device configured to encourage a tennis player to hit a tennis ball higher over a tennis net includes a pair of telescoping rods. Each pair of telescoping rods can include an inner segment and an outer segment. The outer segment can surround at least a portion of the inner segment. The outer segment can be movable with respect to the lower rod to at least one raised position and at least one lowered position. The lower rod of each telescoping rod can be attached to a vertical support post at opposing ends of a tennis net or directly to the tennis net. At least one fastener can be attached to the outer segment of each pair of telescoping rods. A string can attach the at least one fastener of each telescoping rod. The string can extend above and generally parallel to a top surface of the tennis net.

A table tennis collection system is provided. The system may utilize a collection element having a horizontally elongate shape with a first end and an opposing second end. The collection element may have a first net element extending from the first end to the second end. There is provided a method and apparatus for tracking a device. The tracked device may be a wearable device worn by a user participating in an athletic activity. An anchor device is positioned with respect to a playing area and receives signals from the tracked device. The anchor device estimates the position of the tracked device by measuring a distance and direction of the signal, and decodes the signal to obtain measurements taken by the tracked device. The position and the measurements are combined to produce tracking data for the device.
