SECRETION LOOSENING AND COUGH SEGMENTING THERAPY
The present system (10) comprises a subject interface (22), a segmenter (12), a loosener (14), sensors (18), and computer processors (28). The segmenter is configured to selectively control gas flow through the subject interface to provide high amplitude pressure oscillations (44) during exhalation such that the high amplitude pressure oscillations aid cough productivity in the subject. The loosener controls gas flow through the subject interface to provide low amplitude pressure oscillations (43, 63) during inhalation (48, 68) and exhalation (49) such that the low amplitude pressure oscillations loosen respiratory secretions. The computer processors detect trigger events based on the output signals such that the one or more trigger events include a loosening trigger event and a segmenting trigger event (66); and responsive to detecting the loosening trigger event, control the loosener to provide the low amplitude pressure oscillations, and, responsive to detecting the segmenting trigger event, control the segmenter to provide the high amplitude pressure oscillations.
SENSOR MODULE AND WEIGHT EXERCISE APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
Provided is a weight exercise apparatus. The weight exercise apparatus includes an exercise main body in which movement occurs according to the user's weight exercise, a sensor module detecting movement of the exercise main body, and a processor configured to control a UI unit to display a UI element indicating an exercise state of a user corresponding to the detected movement on a UI screen, wherein the sensor module includes a first laser sensor comprising a first measurement accuracy and a first measurement frequency to detect weight setting of the exercise main body when the weight plate is in a stationary state and a second laser sensor comprising a second measurement accuracy lower than the first measurement accuracy and a second measurement frequency higher than the first measurement frequency to detect movement of the weight plate when the weight plate is in a moving state.
Indoor bicycle training device
An indoor, stationary, bicycle training device that provides advantages over conventional designs of exercise bicycles is provided. The stationary bicycle may include a tilting/pivoting mechanism to orient the indoor bicycle to simulate descending or climbing. The indoor bicycle may include flexible and resilient frame elements to support the indoor training device to move side-to-side under some riding situations thereby simulating the side-to-side swaying motion of an outdoor bicycle under the same riding situations. The indoor bicycle may include several combinations of frame adjustments to provide configurable dimensions of the indoor bicycle to adjust the frame to properly fit the rider, which may be adjusted based on corresponding dimensions of a user's outdoor bicycle. Still other aspects of the stationary bicycle device may aid in creating an “outdoor” feeling while using the device.
Step counting method and apparatus for treadmill
A step counting apparatus for a treadmill includes a terminal device. The terminal device is placed on the treadmill. The terminal device includes an acceleration sensor, a processor and a memory. The memory is configured to store a software program. The acceleration sensor is configured to collect a vibration signal generated when a user runs on the treadmill. The processor is configured to execute the software program stored in the memory, to cause the processor to instruct the acceleration sensor to collect the vibration signal generated when the user runs on the treadmill. The processor is further configure to execute the software program to analyze, using a time-frequency analysis algorithm, the vibration signal to determine a quantity of exercise steps of the user on the treadmill.
STATIONARY EXERCISE EQUIPMENT FOR PHYSICAL TRAINING, MORE PARTICULAR AN EXERCISE BIKE
Stationary exercise equipment for physical training, more particularly an exercise bike, comprising a frame with a movement unit which either is to be moved by the exerciser or is itself driven and interacts with the exerciser, one or more sensors, assigned to the movement unit and/or the exerciser, for capturing measured values, and a computer apparatus for establishing one or more items of measurement-value-related information, which are output on a frame-side display apparatus, letterized in that provision is made for a first display apparatus, which is directed at the exerciser for displaying one or more items of information, and in that provision is made for a second display apparatus, which is directed at the opposite side for outputting at least one item of information.
Position sensor on a treadmill
A treadmill system includes a deck, an endless tread belt covering at least a portion of the deck, a position sensor that senses a position of a user when the user is on the tread belt, and a control module that adjusts a speed of the tread belt in response to an output of the position sensor.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR TESTING AND EXERCISING THE PELVIC FLOOR MUSCULATURE
An apparatus for testing and exercising pelvic floor musculature, the apparatus comprising an elongate housing adapted for a pelvic floor aperture. The housing accommodates an oscillator and an accelerometer connected to a signal processor configured for communicating signals representative of values read from the accelerometer. A result is calculated from an applied oscillation and a response measured, and used for characterizing the musculature. In one embodiment the frequency resulting in the greatest response from the musculature is measured, and this frequency is applied during exercise.
Spin and durability improving machine for playing rackets and methods thereof
The current invention aims at improving the playability, durability, and spin generation of different playing rackets, as tennis, squash, and badminton rackets. The method to do so is by applying mechanical forces which generate relative motion of the latitudinal strings over the longitudinal strings. This is done in order to create friction that generate depressions in the contact points of the latitudinal strings with the longitudinal strings. These depressions, made by the described method and machine, induce more friction, and generate spin, while increasing the playability and durability during the play.
Tennis ball having a thermoplastic core
A tennis ball including a spherical core. The spherical core including an outer surface and a raised wall integrally molded as part of the outer surface.
