SECRETION LOOSENING AND COUGH SEGMENTING THERAPY
The present system (10) comprises a subject interface (22), a segmenter (12), a loosener (14), sensors (18), and computer processors (28). The segmenter is configured to selectively control gas flow through the subject interface to provide high amplitude pressure oscillations (44) during exhalation such that the high amplitude pressure oscillations aid cough productivity in the subject. The loosener controls gas flow through the subject interface to provide low amplitude pressure oscillations (43, 63) during inhalation (48, 68) and exhalation (49) such that the low amplitude pressure oscillations loosen respiratory secretions. The computer processors detect trigger events based on the output signals such that the one or more trigger events include a loosening trigger event and a segmenting trigger event (66); and responsive to detecting the loosening trigger event, control the loosener to provide the low amplitude pressure oscillations, and, responsive to detecting the segmenting trigger event, control the segmenter to provide the high amplitude pressure oscillations.
HANDHELD RESPIRATORY DIAGNOSTIC, TRAINING, AND THERAPY DEVICES AND METHODS
Systems and methods directed to handheld respiratory diagnostics, trainings, and therapy are disclosed. More specifically, a device that collects data associated with a user's breathing using sensors, analyzes that data to determine time series readings of one or more health-related vitals, and generates trainings and therapies to assist the user in real time is described.
Device for acclimatising at altitude and method for functioning this device
A device for acclimatising at altitude comprising a breathing mask defining a confined air space when it is placed on the face of a user. The mask comprising a suction valve to let the surrounding air enter inside the confined space when breathing in; an expiration valve to let air exit with a determined resistance, so as to create an overpressurisation of air in the confined space, when breathing out; and a sensor to establish information about the pressure of the confined space behind. The acclimatisation device in addition comprises a unit for processing the pressure information configured to establish a breathing characteristic of the user and compare it to at least one target value, in view of recommending to them an adjustment of the breathing mode thereof. A method for functioning this device is also provided.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING ACTUAL PATIENT TREATMENT PROGRESS USING SENSOR DATA
A method includes receiving treatment data pertaining to a user capable of using a treatment device to perform a treatment plan and receiving activity data pertaining to the user while the user engages in at least one activity. The method also includes generating treatment information using the treatment data and the activity data and writing to an associated memory, for access by a healthcare professional, the treatment information. The method also includes modifying at least one aspect of the treatment plan in response to receiving, from the healthcare professional, treatment plan input including at least one modification to the at least one aspect of the treatment plan.
