Swimming goggles have a left-eye covering and a right-eye covering, each having a corresponding transparent window that defines a field of view and each further having a seal extending between the transparent window and the swimmer's face and formed to exclude water. A near-eye display is in signal communication with an image processor and forms a virtual image in the left- or right-eye field of view.

The invention relates to spectacles, systems and methods for visibility enhancement, including by glare suppression. The spectacles, systems and methods for visibility enhancement includes spectacles and a spectacle lens having a liquid crystal cell (LC), the transmission (TR) of which may be varied by a suitable control and the liquid crystal cell (LC) designed so that the transmission (TR) of the liquid crystal cell (LC) may be switched between high and low transmission states. The liquid crystal cell (LC) includes a control for regulating the times of the state of high transmission (T.sub.on) of the liquid crystal cell (LC) such that the temporal position of the times of the high transmission state (T.sub.on) within a period of times of the high transmission state (T.sub.on) and times of the low transmission state (T.sub.off) may be altered continuously or discontinuously; and/or the duration of a period of times of the high transmission state (T.sub.on) and times of the low transmission state (T.sub.off) may be altered continuously or discontinuously. Such changes may be determined by a secret coding key.

Swimming goggles of the present invention include a pair of lenses. Each lens has a window. The window is connected with a ventilated waterproof device that is watertight but not airtight, through which a heat on an inner side of the lens produced by human body in form of fog and water particles permeates toward an outer side of the lens; relatively, fog on the outer side of the lens is soon turned into water drops through condensation, the water drops are too large to undergo reverse permeation into the inner side of the lens; because of the effect of surface tension within the condensed water drops, water molecules pull each other as a stable state and are unable to be separated from the water drops toward the inner side of the lens so that the water leakage of the swimming goggles is eliminated and waterproof function is achieved.

Systems and methods for minimally intrusive displays

A system includes a minimally intrusive display system (MIDS) configured to be disposed on an eyewear. The MIDS includes a display system and a sensor system configured to provide for a sensor data. The MIDS further includes a processor configured to process the sensor data to derive an activity metric. The processor is further configured to display, via the display system, the activity metric, wherein the display system is disposed in the eyewear so that the activity metric is only viewed when a user of the eyewear turns the user's pupil towards the display system at angle α from a forward direction.

Swimming goggle

The present invention concerns a swimming goggle including at least one main body including: (a) an outer lens; (b) an inner lens; (c) a sealed gap separating the outer lens and the inner lens; and (d) an inner space arranged adjacent to the inner lens.
