Method and system utilizing imaging analysis for golf balls
A method and system for determining concentricity of a multiple layer golf ball are disclosed herein. One or more images of a golf ball are generated using an X-ray source, a camera or a digital detector, and an image intensifier. An edge detection algorithm is preferably utilized. The method also includes calculating Y,Z center coordinates of the a best fit diameter or ellipse of the inner edge layer and outer edge layer of the multiple layer golf ball.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR APPLYING A SUBSTANCE TO A SPORTS BALL
The present invention surrounds the application of a substance to a sports ball, such as silica silylate, for the purposes of increasing grip and hydrophobicity. Disclosed are inventions surrounding the method, the system, and the apparatus for the treatment of a sports ball or other objects which a user desires to treat with a substance to achieve certain results in relation to the substance applied.
Multi-energy x-ray system and method for golf ball inspection
Systems and methods for measuring the concentricity of golf balls using varying energy levels to gather and analyze data on concentricity.
PARTICULATE SILICA SILYLATE KIT FOR TREATMENT OF SURFACES FOR HYDROPHOBICITY CHARACTERISTICS
The present invention provides a method and kit for the treatment of surfaces, such as the skin surface of a user, to impart hydrophobic characteristics upon the surface. The treatment of surfaces to impart hydrophobicity protects equipment, personnel, and animals from the effects of aqueous solutions such as water, toxic slurries, concrete, acids and bases.

HIGH-SPEED GOLF BALL HANDLING AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A golf ball printing system has a plurality of stations and a plurality of station tracks. The plurality of stations have an orienting station, a printing station, and a offloading station, and each of the plurality of station tracks have an orienting station track, a printing station track, and an offloading station track. The golf ball printing system also has a primary track connecting each of the plurality of station tracks and a plurality of shuttles configured to traverse the primary track and the plurality of station tracks. The golf ball printing system further has a control system configured to control the movement of the plurality of shuttles to print a marking on a golf ball on each of the plurality of shuttles at the printing station.
METHODS OF DETERMINING PERFORMANCE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS AND SPORTS OBJECTS
Methods for determining performance information for an object located within an area include obtaining magnetic field information for the area, measuring first magnetic field data when the object is located at a first position within the area, and determining performance information for the object within the area based on the magnetic field information for the area and the first magnetic field data.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus that estimates a hit feeling of a golf ball, includes a characteristic amount obtainment unit configured to obtain a characteristic amount of a striking sound which an estimation target ball generates as a sound source upon the estimation target ball being struck and an estimation unit configured to estimate a hit feeling of the estimation target ball based on correlation information and the characteristic amount obtained by the characteristic amount obtainment unit. The correlation information indicates correlation, for a plurality of kinds of test balls, between a hit feeling which a testing golfer feels at the time of striking a test ball and a characteristic amount of a striking sound which the test ball generates as a sound source upon the test ball being struck.
SPORTS BALL SYSTEM FOR MONITORING BALL CHARACTERISTICS AND METHOD THEREFOR
A sports ball system for calculating movement characteristics has a sports ball. The sports ball monitors movement characteristics of the sports ball. A plurality of wearable devices is worn by a batter whom the sports ball is being thrown towards. At least one of the plurality of wearable devices receiving and displaying data transmitted by the sports ball and a remaining plurality of wearable devices recording data relating to movement of the batter.
Golf ball
A golf ball 2 includes a main body 4 and a paint layer 6 positioned outside the main body 4. The main body 4 includes a spherical core 8, a mid layer 10 positioned outside the core 8, and a cover 12 positioned outside the mid layer 10. An indentation depth, measured when the paint layer 6 in a cross-section along a plane passing through a central point of the golf ball 2 is pressed by a force of 30 mgf in a direction perpendicular to the cross-section, is not less than 300 nm and not greater than 3000 nm. The paint layer 6 preferably has a thickness of not less than 5 μm and not greater than 50 μm.
