SENSOR DEVICE AND SPORTS IMPLEMENT
A sensor device includes an inertial sensor and a holding member. The holding member holds the inertial sensor and is capable of being attached to and detached from an end face of a grip being part of a sports implement and having the shape of a shaft. The holding member includes a sensor-side coupling part. The sensor-side coupling part is capable of being attached to and detached from a grip-side coupling part on the end face of the grip by being moved relative to the grip in a first direction that forms an angle with an axial direction of the grip.
Adjustable sports paddle
An adjustable sports paddle including a handle that extends to a neck portion and a substantially ovular frame. The frame supports first and second striking surfaces, which are sandwiched about an inflatable bladder. A conduit extends from the bladder to the handle through the neck, and the handle further includes a pressurizing mechanism for increasing an air pressure in the bladder via the conduit. In a preferred embodiment, the paddle can also include an adjustable handle having multiple lengths.

A sports racquet and removable wrist strap system may include a head, a handle coupled to the head, a flexible tether extending from an end of the handle, a wrist strap, and a wrist strap connector releasably connecting the wrist strap to the flexible tether. The wrist strap connector includes a collar and an insert. The collar is connected to one of the wrist strap and the flexible tether and has an interior having a side opening and a side slot extending from the side opening. The insert is connected to the other of the wrist strap and the flexible tether. The insert is insertable into the interior through the side opening while portions of the wrist strap or the flexible tether are insertable into the interior through the side slot.

A sports racquet and removable wrist strap system may include a head, a handle coupled to the head, a flexible tether extending from an end of the handle, a wrist strap, and a wrist strap connector releasably connecting the wrist strap to the flexible tether. The collar is connected to one of the wrist strap and the flexible tether and has an interior having a side opening and a side slot extending from the side opening. Fiber composite and process of manufacture
The inventive fiber manufacturing process is particularly adapted for demanding applications such as sports racquets, including tennis racquets, badminton racquets and other sports applications. Because of the improved strength to weight ratio of components formed using the inventive method, a wide range of flexibility is achieved, allowing use of the inventive process to manufacture, for example, a fiber reinforced (for example, graphite) modular sports racquet, optionally provided with user-selectable weights and/or handle replacements. From the standpoint of the player, this allows a racquet frame featuring self customization. From the standpoint of a retailer, the benefit provided is reduction of inventory. The inventive fiber, for example graphite fiber) racquet frame is filled with a plastic foam and is formed using, for example, microencapsulation technology to time, generate and apply the pressure used to form the graphite composite material of which the racquet is comprised. Advantageously, inner and outer tubular members may be used to form the racquet frame, with the inner tubular member extending around the head of the racquet frame. This compares to the standard industry technique of air injection. The racquet is thus not hollow like conventional graphite racquets, and the walls therefore can be made thinner than those of existing graphite racquets still being of the same strength or being stronger, which gives the racquet exceptional performance. In addition, the overall dimensions of, for example the cross-section, of the racquet can also be reduced while still maintaining performance characteristics.
DEVICE FOR HITTING A BALL
A strung bat for use in playing cricket includes an elongate handle for a user to hold and a blade elongated in the direction of the handle. The blade includes a perimeter defining an internal space that is strung with an array of strings for hitting a ball. The perimeter frame has a leading edge and an opposing trailing edge, and the array of strings lies in a plane that may be substantially aligned with the leading edge of the frame or is closely adjacent to the leading edge of the frame. An apparatus for playing the game using the strung bat is also disclosed.
Monitoring device for a piece of sports equipment
Golf clubs according to at least some example aspects of this disclosure may include a golf club head and a shaft configured to engage with the golf club head which includes a grip engaged with the shaft. Further, the golf club may include a monitoring device, which includes a sensor and a transmitter. Additionally, the monitoring device may be configured to determine data related to the characteristics of a golf swing. Further, the monitoring device may be configured to transmit the data related to the characteristics of a golf swing to a remote computer.
