An improved object or projectile throwing device may include a handle and base having an element configured for improved projectile retention and release. The handle may be removably attached to a coupler, where the couple may include a receptacle or socket that is attached to the handle. Various bases include different projectile retention and release elements that configured secure or retain different types of objects or projectiles, thereby enabling the projectile throwing device to be adaptable to throw a variety of objects. Two or more handles of different lengths can be selectively coupled to a base of the projectile throwing device, such as to adapt the throwing distance, or the effort required to throw an object, to the throwing strength or abilities of an animal caregiver or to facilitate throwing of objects of different weight or density.

An underwater training apparatus is disclosed. The underwater training apparatus may include a barrel. The barrel may contain a plurality of holes disposed across the barrel. Each of the holes of the barrel may pass through a wall of the barrel. The underwater training apparatus may also include a base funnel. The base funnel may contain a plurality of holes disposed across the base funnel. Each of the holes of the base funnel may pass through a wall of the base funnel. The underwater training apparatus may also include a handle. The handle may mechanically couple the barrel and the base funnel.

The present invention provides an anti-rotational element, in the form of an adapter, a member integrated into the shaft or integrated into the head that increasing the front-to-back dimension of the stick compared to the side-to-side width dimension of the stick. The increased front-to-back dimension increases the anti-rotational torque that a lacrosse player, particularly a goalie, can generate. As a result, the goalie can prevent the stick from rotating in their hands when shots are off center relative to the longitudinal axis of the shaft thereby allowing the goalie to make saves that would otherwise result in a goal. The invention also aids in instructing goalies to avoid too tightly gripping the stick, which slows a goalies reaction time for a save.

A sporting goods merchandising display for a sports stick and ball package, as for playing the sports of ball hockey and lacrosse, wherein a sports ball having a diameter D.sub.1 is captured between spaced apart circular holes, each having a diameter D.sub.2 less than the diameter D.sub.1, in an open-ended packaging sleeve removably locked at a fixed position on the sports stick. Such packaging combines the sports stick and ball to prevent separation while on display but permits tactile access to the product components by sporting goods customers. A purchaser can easily remove the packaging sleeve to separate the product components without the aid of a cutting instrument.

A sporting goods merchandising display for a sports stick and ball package, as for playing the sports of ball hockey and lacrosse, wherein a sports ball having a diameter D.sub.1 is captured between spaced apart circular holes, each having a diameter D.sub.2 less than the diameter D.sub.1, in an open-ended packaging sleeve removably locked at a fixed position on the sports stick. Such packaging combines the sports stick and ball to prevent separation while on display but permits tactile access to the product components by sporting goods customers. A purchaser can easily remove the packaging sleeve to separate the product components without the aid of a cutting instrument.

A divot repair tool for fixing divots in the playing surface made while playing golf. The tool is attached to the grip of a golf club and used to replace and fix divots in the grass. The club allows the tool to be extended to the ground without bending over or squatting down, thus reducing sports related injuries. The divot repair tool includes removable prongs and blade that can be used to fix the divot holes using a levering motion or a rotational motion. The divot repair tool can include an automated motorized embodiment that can rotate the tool and the individual prongs to repair the divot holes. Both versions can press the divot material up against a flat surface of the tool to further flatten the playing surface.
