Construction of skates
A skate including a shoe/boot part and a skate iron/blade part, wherein the skate iron/blade part includes a skate iron/blade and a rear and forward intermediate mounting element connecting the skate iron/blade to the shoe/boot part, wherein at least a part of the forward mounting element may be compressed in the vertical direction, said forward mounting element being equipped with a resilient device that may be compressed through vertically loading the skate and that mainly returns to its original form when the vertical load of the skate diminishes.
SKATE OR OTHER FOOTWEAR
A skate (e.g., an ice skate) or other footwear for a user. The skate or other footwear comprises a skate boot or other foot-receiving structure for receiving a foot of the user and possibly one or more other components, such as a skating device (e.g., a blade and a blade holder) disposed beneath the skate boot to engage a skating surface (e.g., ice). In some cases, at least part of the skate boot or other foot-receiving structure and optionally at least part of one or more other components (e.g., the skating device) may be constructed from one or more materials (e.g., foams) molded by flowing in molding equipment during a molding process (e.g., injection molding or casting). This may allow the skate or other footwear to have useful performance characteristics (e.g., reduced weight, proper fit and comfort, etc.) while being more cost-effectively manufactured.
Ice skate blade assembly with releasable blade
An ice skate blade assembly for a skate, includes a blade holder that releasably receives an ice skate blade therein. The blade has first and second hooks projecting upwardly from respective first and second ends of the blade. The holder has a bridge portion with a groove to receive the main portion of the blade therein and first and second pedestals at either end of the bridge portion with cavities to receive the first and second hooks therein. An actuator mounted within the second pedestal includes a hook-receiving portion slidably movable along a curved sliding path between one end portion parallel to the longitudinal axis of the assembly in a locked position retaining the second hook thereon and an opposing released position. The actuator is recessed into the pedestal and includes a tool receiving aperture so that a tool is used to displace the actuator.

Ice skating measuring apparatus
An ice-skating measuring apparatus includes an ice-skate blade holder and an ice-skate blade. The blade holder has a front beam column and a rear beam column. The blade includes at least one sensor configured to measure forces acting on the blade, and the blade is detachable from the blade holder.
