A composite panel structure has opposing outer walls or surfaces and a core comprising a plurality of ribs extending between and connected to the outer walls and defining chambers which are filled with expanding foams, non-expanding foams, gases, or a combination thereof. The outer panel surfaces and internal chamber walls or ribs are made of woven or non-woven fibrous material impregnated with one or more resins. The panel structure may be used for making a variety of products including sports equipment such as sports paddles, surfboards, kite boards, skateboards, wakeboards, as well as construction panels for walls, ceilings or floors, display panels, panels for the vehicle industry, furniture, and other structures requiring high strength to weight properties.

Truck carrying adapter for skateboard
11511179 · 2022-11-29 · ·

A truck carrying member for coupling a conventional truck to a skateboard is described. The truck carrying member has comprises with a base plate rotatably coupled a pivoting plate at a pivot. The pivot comprises a bolt that provides an axis of rotation and a biasing member that keep that base plate and pivoting plate centered position. The base plate has a first mounting surface and a first pivoting surface that form a first obtuse angle. The pivot plate has a second mounting surface and a second pivoting surface that form a second obtuse angle that is less than the first obtuse angle. The second mounting surface extends downward from the skateboard when the truck carrying member is attached to a bottom surface of the skateboard. The pivot and biasing member help increase maneuverability of the skateboard by allowing the wheels of the truck to tuck in closer to the deck during turns.

Cast in shaft nut for skateboard truck

A skateboard truck includes a metal bolt called a kingpin and a threaded fastener, called a hex nut, which when combined hold the two main components of a truck together: the baseplate, which is mounted to the bottom surface of the skateboard deck; and the turning part of the truck called the hanger, which is mounted onto the baseplate by means of the kingpin, and affixed tightly into the baseplate by means of a threaded shaft nut assembly permanently affixed within the baseplate. Two bushings placed along the shaft of the kingpin and on either side of a flange protruding from the hanger hold the hanger in place by the tightening of the kingpin into the threaded shaft nut fastener. The kingpin is oriented such that a threaded portion of the kingpin (on an end opposite a bolt head portion) is generally facing towards a bottom surface of the skateboard deck.
