A splitboard fastening system is disclosed herein. The splitboard fastening system comprises a crossbar comprising a shear bushing interface and a hook, an eccentric post coupled to a lever and configured to engage an inside edge of the hook in response to rotation of the lever, and a shear bushing configured to engage the shear bushing interface, wherein the crossbar is configured to be coupled to a first splitboard ski, and wherein the eccentric post and the shear bushing are configured to be independently coupled to a second splitboard ski.

Fixation of binding board to splitboard skis
11583753 · 2023-02-21 ·

Systems and methods for fixing a binding board to skis that are removably connected together to form of a splitboard are described herein. In some cases, the described systems use a sliding and removable setting of bearing pins in eyes that are formed on adjacent areas of the board and a clamp that is fixed to the skis. The essence of the invention is a fixation of lateral parts of the eyes by stoppers which partially overreach into cross sections of the eyes. A diameter of the bearing pins basically corresponds with a diameter of the eyes. The bearing pins are equipped with circular recesses for engaging with the stoppers and also with end parts that each have a truncated conical tip.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONFIGURING SKIS INTO AN EMULATION SNOWBOARD

A system, configuration, and method for converting a pair of skis to perform as an emulation snowboard is provided. The system includes a pair of skis, and a coupling device including a platform having an upper planar surface with a plurality of mounting locations with mounting system therein. The mounting system couples the skis together and provides a surface on which a pair of bindings may be affixed. The steps for conversion include providing a pair of skis, removing a ski binding from each ski in the pair of skis, if a binding is installed on either ski in the pair of skis, providing a platform with a mounting system, utilizing the mounting system to affix the platform to each ski in the pair of skis, and attaching a pair of snowboard bindings to the platform.

SPLIT SNOWBOARD
20230076150 · 2023-03-09 ·

A system and method for providing a ski-snowboard device capable of skinning in an uphill ski mode and skiing in a downhill snowboard mode. The system may include two skis with inner and outer edges having substantially convex side cuts, and an insert that fits into the space between the inner edge side cuts of each of the two skis. The convex side cuts of the inner edges of the skis may have a groove formed in each, and a mating tongue on each side of the insert can fit into the grooves in a downhill snowboard mode. The tongue-and-groove connection may improve the torsional stiffness of the board, and the convex side cuts may allow a user to better grip when skiing and eliminate the step of switching the skis when used as sides of the snowboard.

The splitboard fastening system is for use with a splitboard having first and second splitboard skis. The splitboard fastening system includes an adjustable crossbar attachment, configured to be coupled to the first splitboard ski, and including a crossbar having an engagement interface that is adjustable relative to a center seam of the splitboard. A rotatable lever attachment is configured to be coupled to the second splitboard ski, and includes a post, defining an axis of rotation, and coupled to a lever. Wherein, in a locked configuration, the post exerts a lateral force against the engagement interface of the crossbar based upon rotation of the lever.

Base portion of binding for splitboard with holders for its fixation on skis
11673039 · 2023-06-13 ·

A flat board as a base plate of a binding for splitboards with holders for the bindings' fixation on skis that are joined together to form a snowboard that has a circular slit (or opening) formed in a central part of the board. The circular slit is equipped with a perimeter recess for removable fixation of a contact ring which is, on its inner perimeter, equipped with two pairs of opposed dents (or indentations) that are designed for connection with a holder. The contact ring is also modified between the dents (or indentations) for insertion of end pins of a locking eccentric. The locking eccentric is formed by an axial shaft with end pins protruding from end hubs formed at both ends of the axial shaft.

Fixation of a binding board to skis demountable connected into a form of a splitboard uses a sliding demountable setting of bearing pins in eyes formed on adjacent areas of the board and a clamp fixed to the skis. The essence of the invention is a fixation of the lateral parts of the eyes by stoppers which partially overreach into the cross sections of the eyes. The diameter of the bearing pins basically corresponds with the diameters of the eyes. The bearing pins are equipped with circular recesses for engaging of the stoppers and also with end parts formed as from above one-sidedly reduced conical tips.

The present invention contemplates a binding system for a snowboards and the like. The system includes a soft-soled boot having a hardened exterior shell consisting of a toe portion and a heel portion, which are linked by at least one sidewall portion. The toe and heel portions include two toe and two heel pegs respectively. The boot includes an instep portion having instep cables for adjusting the boot to the wearer and the cables are adjusted by grommets and tightened in position by at least one resting bar. The binding has a base plate for connecting to the snowboard. The base plate further supports a pair of toe hooks adapted to engage the toe pegs and a pair of heel peg levers adapted to releasably engage the heel pegs of the boot. A grappling hook and ratchet mechanism grabs the resting bar on the boot.

A snowboard assembly is disclosed that includes a deck supported above a pair of longitudinally spaced apart blades. The deck has an upper surface for supporting a rider thereon and each blade has a lower surface for contacting ice or snow upon which the snowboard assembly is ridden. The deck is supported above the blades by mounts that are interposed between each blade and the deck. The deck is torsionally rigid between the mounts such that, in use, rider induced weight transfer forces are able to be transferred from the deck through one or both mounts and into one or both blades in order to steer the assembly. The mounts may be truck assemblies which enable the blades to move independently with respect to the deck.
