Binding toe-piece for gliding board
Toe-piece for a boot on a gliding board including a chassis affixed to the gliding board; a body movable on the chassis; a sole-clamp movable on the body; a lateral release mechanism including a first elastic mechanism to return the sole clamp to engagement with the boot; a vertical retention mechanism having a second elastic mechanism arranged to continuously exert a return force on the body to bring the sole-clamp toward the lower surface of the chassis, the return force pressing the sole-clamp on the boot; at least one cam kinematically inserted between the second elastic mechanism and either the chassis or the body, the cam being shaped to modify, in relation to the chassis, the direction of the return force exerted by the second elastic mechanism on the body to attenuate a variation in the pressing force when the sole-clamp is away from the lower surface of the chassis.
BINDING TOE-PIECE FOR GLIDING BOARD
A toe-piece for binding a boot on a gliding board, the toe piece including a chassis having a lower surface configured to be affixed to the gliding board; a body movably mounted on the chassis; a sole-clamp movably mounted on the body and capable of coming into contact with an upper surface and at least one lateral portion of a front or rear portion of the boot when the boot is engaged with the toe-piece; a lateral release mechanism including at least one first elastic mechanism acting on the sole-clamp to return it to a configuration of engagement with the boot; a vertical retention mechanism comprising a second elastic mechanism, distinct from the first elastic mechanism, arranged so as to continuously exert a return force on the body in order to bring the sole-clamp back toward the lower surface of the chassis, the return force producing a force pressing the sole-clamp on the boot when the boot is engaged with the binding; wherein the toe-piece includes at least one cam kinematically inserted between the second elastic mechanism and either the chassis or the body, the cam being shaped to modify, depending on the position of the body in relation to the chassis, the direction of the return force exerted by the second elastic mechanism on the body so as to attenuate a variation in the pressing force when the sole-clamp is away from the lower surface of the chassis.
A RELEASE MECHANISM FOR A SKI BINDING
The present invention relates to a release mechanism for a ski binding system, wherein the system comprises a ski shoe (20) wherein pins (11) moveable in each direction are arranged and at least one intermediate spring element (12), wherein the pins (11) are adapted to slide in a barrel (13) between a protruding and a retracted position. The system comprises a frame (2) with two vertical parts (3, 4) arranged on a ski, wherein each vertical part has an opening (5) each for receiving a pin (11) protruding sideways out of the ski shoe (20), two bails (7) with claws (8) at one end and brought together in a manipulator (9) at the other end, wherein the claws (8) and the manipulator (9) are adapted so that they can move synchronously into the openings in the opposite direction of the pins (11).
FRONT UNIT COMPRISING A LOWERABLE HOLDING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a front unit (10) for a touring binding, which front unit is to be mounted on a sliding board and has a mounting surface pointing in the direction of a sliding board surface, which mounting surface defines a sliding board plane (E), the front unit (10) being adjustable between a downhill configuration and a climbing configuration, comprising a first holding device (20) which is designed to fix a front portion of a sliding board boot for downhill travel with the touring binding, in the downhill configuration of the front unit (10), the first holding device (20) being adjustable between an active position and a passive position, and the first holding device (20) being set into the active position in the downhill configuration of the front unit (10), and being set into the passive position in the climbing configuration of the front unit (10), and a second holding device (40), which is designed to secure a toe portion of the sliding board boot for ascent with the touring binding in the climbing configuration of the front unit (10), in such a way that the sliding board boot is pivotable about a hinge pin that is substantially in parallel with the sliding board plane (E) and substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (L) of the sliding board, the first holding device (20) being arranged closer to the sliding board plane (E) in the passive position than in the active position. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a touring binding comprising the front unit (10), which touring binding further comprises a heel unit and optionally a brake assembly.
FRONT JAW AND SAFETY SKI BINDING WITH A FRONT JAW
A front jaw (1) of a safety ski binding with a base plate (3) and a housing (2) with a housing upper part (2a) as well as with sole holders (5) pivotable about bolts (6, 6) forming vertically extending axes and having front and rear segments, the sole holders, at their front segments, receiving the bolts (6, 6) in bores (5a, 5a) and, at their rear segments, cooperating with the sole of an inserted ski boot.
The sole holders (5), at their front segments, are mounted on the housing upper part (2a) in a ball-joint-like manner, so that they are movable upwards over their rear segments by tilting the bolts (6, 6), wherein each bolt (6, 6) projects through an elongated hole (11) extending in the ski longitudinal direction, formed in the base plate (3) and having front and rear ends (11a, 11b), and below the elongated hole (11), is pressed towards the front end (11a) of the elongated hole (11) under the action of a spring (14), wherein the rear end (11b) forms a stop limiting the extent of tilting the bolts (6, 6).
Toe unit for alpine touring binding
An apparatus is provided for holding a footwear toe to a snow travel aid. The apparatus comprises jaws that grasp the toe while permitting pivotal movement of the footwear about the toe in forward and rearward directions and is for use with a heel holder that provides for lateral release. The apparatus comprises one or more resilient elements for biasing the jaws whereby the jaws are biased towards a closed position throughout the operational range of motion of the jaws. Also provided is an apparatus which comprises jaws that grasp the toe while permitting pivotal movement of footwear about the toe, wherein the apparatus is adapted for generally horizontal, forward and rearward translation relative to a longitudinal axis of the snow travel aid, selectively by a user. Also provided is an apparatus comprising jaws that grasp the toe while permitting pivotal movement of footwear about the toe, and a lock for inhibiting opening of the jaws, the lock comprising one or more resilient elements which provide resilience while inhibiting opening of the jaws.
