A front ski binding assembly for a ski board, including a front boot-retaining mechanism retaining a boot in a slope ascending or descending utilisation, two first articulated arms pivotably mounted on a platform, a lateral security release device arranged in cooperation with first ends of first articulated arms to apply thereon a biasing force urging second ends of first articulated arms towards the longitudinal axis of the platform and allow each first articulated arms to rotate away from the longitudinal axis upon application by a boot of force higher than the biasing force on an interior surface of a first articulated arm, and two second articulated arms pivotably mounted about a second arbor and bearing at an end touring pins to engage corresponding mating members on front end sides of a boot in slope ascending utilisation, the second articulated arms being movable between an active and inactive position.

Skibinding, in particular touring skibinding

A touring skibinding (1) comprises a support element (2) which can be fastened to the ski, a bearing element (3) with a skiboot reception (4) which is designed in such a way that the skiboot (5) can be mounted in the skiboot reception (4) such that the skiboot can pivot about a first pivot axis (S1) with respect to the skiboot reception (4) and a convex supporting surface (6) on which the skiboot (5) can roll, the bearing element (3) being connected to the support element (2) so as to be pivotable about a second pivot axis (S2) from an initial state into a pivoted state, wherein the skiboot (5) is moveable from a standing state, in which the skiboot (5) stands on the convex supporting surface (6), into a pulling state, in which the skiboot (5) is at least partially lifted from the convex supporting surface (6), wherein, starting from the standing state, the skiboot (5) is movable on the convex supporting surface (6) in the direction of the pulling state in such a manner that the skiboot (5) rolls on the convex support surface (6), wherein a pivoting movement of the skiboot (5) about the first pivot axis (S1) and of the bearing element (3) about the second pivot axis (S2) is effected simultaneously with the rolling process.

A RELEASE MECHANISM FOR A SKI BINDING

The present invention relates to a release mechanism for a ski binding system, wherein the system comprises a ski shoe (20) wherein pins (11) moveable in each direction are arranged and at least one intermediate spring element (12), wherein the pins (11) are adapted to slide in a barrel (13) between a protruding and a retracted position. The system comprises a frame (2) with two vertical parts (3, 4) arranged on a ski, wherein each vertical part has an opening (5) each for receiving a pin (11) protruding sideways out of the ski shoe (20), two bails (7) with claws (8) at one end and brought together in a manipulator (9) at the other end, wherein the claws (8) and the manipulator (9) are adapted so that they can move synchronously into the openings in the opposite direction of the pins (11).

FRONT JAW AND SAFETY SKI BINDING WITH A FRONT JAW

A front jaw (1) of a safety ski binding with a base plate (3) and a housing (2) with a housing upper part (2a) as well as with sole holders (5) pivotable about bolts (6, 6) forming vertically extending axes and having front and rear segments, the sole holders, at their front segments, receiving the bolts (6, 6) in bores (5a, 5a) and, at their rear segments, cooperating with the sole of an inserted ski boot.

The sole holders (5), at their front segments, are mounted on the housing upper part (2a) in a ball-joint-like manner, so that they are movable upwards over their rear segments by tilting the bolts (6, 6), wherein each bolt (6, 6) projects through an elongated hole (11) extending in the ski longitudinal direction, formed in the base plate (3) and having front and rear ends (11a, 11b), and below the elongated hole (11), is pressed towards the front end (11a) of the elongated hole (11) under the action of a spring (14), wherein the rear end (11b) forms a stop limiting the extent of tilting the bolts (6, 6).

Ski Binding Toe Unit

A pin binding toe unit for holding a footwear toe to a snow travel aid has a pair of pivotal jaws with respective teeth for engaging concavities in sides of the footwear toe, and a biasing element operable to bias the jaws into open and closed positions. In contrast to conventional incorporation of multiple biasing elements into the jaws, the biasing element is instead uniquely housed in the mode lever by which the jaws are openable and closeable, and in this housed relation to the mode lever, the biasing element is constrained to a uniform horizontal orientation through the full range of jaw motion. The assembly is simplified, torque leverage on the jaws is advantageously varied within the range of the jaw motion for improved energy absorption, and the trigger of the mode lever is uniquely widened for easier user step-in. Threaded pivots enable disassembly of components for service and end-of-life recycling, with the two threaded jaw pivots being characterized by opposing thread directionality or opposing insertion orientation for self-prevented loosening of the threaded jaw pivots over repeated open-close cycles.
