20230347231 · 2023-11-02 ·

A toe-piece of a ski binding includes rotatable first and second clamping members respectively provided with first and second jaws. First and second rotatable supports rotatably bear the first clamping member and the second clamping member, respectively. In a ski descent configuration, the first and second jaws can elastically retract if solicited by a tip of a ski boot. The first clamping member has a third jaw with a first pin, while the second clamping member has a fourth jaw with a second pin. Locking means are provided which when the ski boot tip is between the third and fourth jaws, the blocking means are activatable to block the third and fourth jaws in angular blocking positions in which the first pin is inserted in a first hole of a ski boot and the second pin is inserted in a second hole of the ski boot, making walking uphill possible.

Sports equipment

A release mechanism is provided for releasably connecting a strap to sports equipment. The strap is secured at a first end to the sports equipment and at a second end to the release mechanism. The release mechanism has a fastening part releasably connected to an engagement element. The engagement element interacts with a fastening part bail element that is pivotable about a pivot axle between a release position and an engaged position with the engagement element. The bail element can be secured in the engaged position by a securing element. The securing element and bail element are secured to the fastening part such that the distance between the pivot axle of the bail element and the securing element changes when a tensile load is applied to the bail element. The securing element releases the bail element when a defined release tensile force is exerted on the bail element.

Binding System for a Touring Ski Binding
20250058200 · 2025-02-20 · ·

A binding system for a touring ski binding has a front jaw device and a rear jaw device for receiving a ski boot. In a descent mode, the front jaw device is open and the rear jaw device is closed, so that a retainer can receive a web of the ski boot, and a lever mechanism can fix a heel part of the ski boot. The rear jaw device with the lever mechanism exerts a contact pressure on the heel part of the ski boot along a boot longitudinal axis (X), so that the web is pressed into a hook system of the front jaw device, and the ski boot is thus secured against translation against the boot longitudinal axis (X).
