Cue with kinetic energy absorbing insert
A cue for billiard sports that has a butt section, a joint collar, and a shaft section that has a kinetic energy absorbing insert located in the shaft section of the cue. A shaft section that has a kinetic energy absorbing insert that may be connected to an existing joint collar and butt section of a cue to improve the kinetic energy absorbing characteristics of the cue. A kinetic energy absorbing insert that is to be received by an existing shaft section of a cue in order to increase the kinetic energy absorbing characteristics of the cue is also disclosed.
Method of Providing Feedback for a Piece of Cue Sport Equipment During Game Play
A method of providing feedback for a piece of cue-sport equipment, a cue ball or cue stick, during a game play first collect spatial positioning and orientation data from a plurality of measurement sensors that is integrated into the cue-sport equipment. Then, the collected data is analyzed to generate a virtual movement model of the cue-sport equipment as the virtual movement model includes a calculated impact force diagram, an animated travel path, and a calculated absolute orientation for the cue-sport equipment. Then, the player can view the virtual movement model through an external computing device to improve their cue-sport skills effectively and efficiently.
Cue with solid core construction
A pool cue includes a butt having: an elongate central butt core, extending uninterrupted from a rearmost end of the butt to a foremost end of the butt; one or more oversleeves arranged about the central butt core and abutting one another; and a forward threaded butt connector positioned on the foremost end of the butt, the forward threaded butt connector operable to mate with a corresponding threaded shaft connector of a cue shaft. A shaft has: an elongate shaft sleeve, extending from a rearmost end of the shaft to a foremost end of the shaft; an elongate central shaft core, extending uninterrupted from the rearmost end of the shaft to the foremost end of the shaft; and a rearward threaded shaft connector positioned on the rearmost end of the shaft, the rearward threaded shaft connector operable to mate with the threaded butt connector.

ADJUSTABLE BILLIARD CUE STICK
The present invention relates to a novel adjustable billiard cue stick that is capable of being adjusted to multiple different lengths and configurations. In one embodiment, the pool cue stick includes a spring-loaded mechanism having a tension rod with fixed metal pegs. The metal pegs are locked into corresponding receiver holes for locking the pool cue stick into a desired length. A button releases pressure from a spring of the pool cue stick enabling the length of the cue to be adjusted. In another embodiment, the pool cue stick includes a segmented screw drive system in the center of the cue that can be manually or electrically cranked for adjusting the length of the pool cue stick.
Adjustable weighting sytem for a cue stick
A cue for use in billiard games includes a removable weight system located in a bore in a butt section of the cue. The weight system includes a carrier having a length extending from a first end to a second end with one or more weights and two or more support washers supported on the carrier. A butt plate is secured to the first end of the carrier, the butt plate having a first end and a second end and including an opening extending from the first end to the second end, the opening having a circular cross section at a second end for receiving the carrier of the weight system. The one or more weights and the two or more washers may be set at different locations along the length of the carrier.

BILLIARD CUE SHAFT FOR REDUCING DEFLECTION
A billiard cue shaft includes a shaft body having first and second ends, a longitudinal axis and a first length. The shaft body includes a wooden rod and an outer layer of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) wrapped around the surface of the wooden rod. The shaft body further includes a straight section with a first outer diameter and a second length, and a tapered section. The wooden rod has a bore with a predetermined inner diameter and a predetermined depth. The predetermined depth of the bore of the wooden rod is about 15% to 55% of the first length of the shaft body. The predetermined inner diameter of the bore of the wooden rod is about 51% to 81% of the first outer diameter of the straight section of the shaft body. The billiard cue shaft thereby has the advantage of natural wood and can decrease the deflection.
