Multi-ball roulette wheel with stacked tracks
A method and system based on betting using an enhanced roulette game are provided with more exciting game play with differing odds as compared to traditional roulette. The roulette game has a two-track roulette wheel, each track having cross-sectional curvatures allowing for the simultaneous use of two separate balls that do not interfere with each other during game play, with an increased number of betting numbers of 63 (1-60, 0, 00, and 000) or 75 (0, 00, 000, 1-72) around a single course of pockets or cassettes. One of the two roulette balls may be a “gold” ball that represents a bonus payout or bonus for hitting both numbers for one or more players. A set of playing chips have radio frequency identification (RFID), or other locating devices that interact with the grid to determine chip placement on the betting layout to automatically calculate a bet payoff.
ROULETTE SYSTEM WITH SIDE BETS BASED ON DIFFERENT BALLS
A wagering system including a roulette wheel, multiple balls of a first or second color, a selector for selecting a ball, and a processor that causes the system to randomly select a ball for use in the game which is determined when the selected roulette ball stops at a numbered wheel position, selects one or more side bet numbers when a side bet is placed by a player, and resolves side bet wagers as follows: side bet wagers are forfeit when a first colored ball is selected or paid at lower odds; side bet wager may be forfeit when either ball is selected and the number position on the roulette wheel does not match the side bet number; and side bet wagers are resolved at higher odds when the second colored ball is the selected roulette ball and the number position on the roulette wheel matches the side bet number.
MULTI-BALL-TRACK ROULETTE
A multi-ball roulette mechanism having an annular stationary rim with an upwardly curved face around which two or more roulette balls travel. A rotating roulette wheel is positioned in a central opening of the stationary rim, both of which are supported by a base. The two or more roulette balls travel from the curved face into pockets of the roulette wheel. A roulette ball launching system launches the two or more roulette balls spinning around the stationary rim in a direction opposite the roulette wheel. The curved face of the stationary rim includes a path around which the roulette balls travel. The path may include two or more separate tracks or a continual spiral. A first roulette ball is launched by the roulette ball launching system onto the path to rotate around the stationary rim while moving down the curved face toward the roulette wheel as the first roulette ball loses momentum. The second roulette ball is not launched by the roulette ball launching system onto the path until the first roulette ball has moved a sufficient distance down the curved face of the stationary rim.
MULTI-BALL POCKETS FOR ROULETTE
A roulette mechanism having a base, a stationary rim mounted on the base having a central opening and a curved face around which roulette balls travel, a rotating roulette wheel configured to spin and positioned in the central opening of the and supported by the base. The roulette wheel includes a movable central cone and pockets distributed around the movable central cone, the pockets hold one or more roulette balls that fall from the rim into pockets. Each pocket corresponds to unique identifiers on the roulette wheel. The cone includes an edge, a number of sub-pockets under the edge and a motor. The edge is configured to stop a roulette ball that has entered a pocket. The motor is configured to raise the edge so that the roulette ball moves from the pocket to the sub-pocket and to lower the edge once the roulette ball is in the sub-pocket.
METHODS FOR USING A MULTI-BALL POCKET ROULETTE SYSTEM
A method for using a roulette mechanism where a ball is launched onto a rim having a central opening and a face around which balls travel until falling pockets distributed around a central cone. The pockets are configured hold the balls. The pockets correspond to unique identifiers on the roulette wheel. The cone includes an edge, sub-pockets under the edge and a motor. The edge stops a ball in a pocket. The motor raises and lowers the edge so that ball move from a pocket to the sub-pocket. When a ball falls into a pocket the ball is moved to a sub-pocket. The outcome for the ball is indicated based on the pocket and then more balls are launched while the ball is in the sub-pocket.
MAHJONG ROULETTE GAMING SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A gaming system combines roulette and mahjong gaming into a single new game for ball-effecting a mahjong event. The game may comprise a grouped series of roulette wheel assemblies bearing mahjong symbols and a plurality of balls respectively receivable in ball-receiving sectors for identifying a number of mahjong symbols. The group of mahjong symbols identified by the randomly received balls defines a wagerable mahjong event. Players may participate in the gaming in a player participation area, which area is opposed a theatrical or auditorium type visual display of the grouped roulette wheel assembly action. Players may input their wagers in the player participation area and watch the roulette action unfold on the visual displays. Certain methodology for effecting the mahjong event is further supported by the roulette medium.

ROULETTE SYSTEM WITH SIDE BETS BASED ON DIFFERENT BALLS
A wagering system including a roulette wheel, multiple balls of a first or second color, a selector for selecting a ball, and a processor that causes the system to randomly select a ball for use in the game which is determined when the selected ball stops at a numbered wheel position, selects one or more side bet numbers when a side bet is placed by a player, and resolves side bet wagers as follows: side bet wagers are forfeit when a first colored ball is selected or paid at lower odds; side bet wager may be forfeit when either ball is selected and the number position on the roulette wheel does not match the side bet number; and side bet wagers are resolved at higher odds when the second colored ball is the selected ball and the number position on the roulette wheel matches the side bet number.
ROULETTE GAME AND SIDE BETS WITH DOUBLE ROULETTE WHEELS
A roulette system including two roulette machines. Standard roulette bets may be placed by a player on a first roulette machine and if no side bet is placed, only the first machine is operated. When a side bet is placed, a second roulette machine is operated in parallel with the first machine. Side bets may be based on various combinations of results from each machine, or an aggregate total of the result of both machines, and other proposition type bets. Inertial values associated with the balls of each machine may be monitored and used to adjust ball launch times, ball launch speeds, rotation velocity of roulette wheels of the machines and the braking of the roulette wheels so the machines operate in parallel.
AMUSEMENT DEVICE FOR A GAME OF CHANCE INVOLVING ONE OR MORE ROLLING INDICATORS ON A ROTATING ELEMENT WITH POSITION INDICATORS
Embodiments of various games are described. One example embodiment includes a plurality of wheels on which players may place a bet. A different number of wheels may be used from game to game.
