ANKLE EXERCISER DEVICE
An ankle exerciser device is described. The device can include a base component, a jointed foot plate assembly attached to the base component, the jointed foot plate assembly comprising a foot plate and a joint, the joint configured to allow the foot plate to tilt, pivot, and/or rotate relative to the base component, and a maze board attached to the foot plate of the jointed foot plate assembly, the maze board comprising a maze. A method of exercising the ankle can include positioning a ball in the maze of the maze board, and moving the ball through the maze by applying forces to the foot plate with a foot.
Method for Guiding a User in Creating a Craft, and Crafting System
A method for and system for guiding a user in creating a craft. At least a portion of a selected crafting challenge is displayed on a portion of a display surface which is visible through a crafting surface. A composite guide element is shown on the display surface visible next to the display surface part which is visible through the specific crafting surface and a further composite guide element is also provided at a receptacle corresponding to the displayed composite guide element. It is ensured that the composite guide element and the further composite guide element provide at least two mutually independent instruction components.
Bottle puzzle
A bottle puzzle used as a training or learning tool for children and adults with cognitive disabilities has puzzle pieces with uniquely shaped concave and convex walls, with only one wall in one puzzle piece matching another wall in a different puzzle piece. Each puzzle piece is a fully contained compartment capable of holding and dispensing beverages. When the puzzle pieces are put together, they form a normal bottle that can be filled with beverages.
Modern dominoes
The present invention includes a novel and modern numbering system design modernizing the design of gaming pieces, such as dice and dominos, while maintaining the qualities of utility for which these pieces were built. The novel design adds not only a pleasing and improved visual quality, but also a tactile quality that enhances the handling of the gaming piece.
BEHAVIOR VARIABILITY AND COMPLEXITY MODELING USING A CONSTRUCTION TOY
A system includes a memory and a processor operatively coupled to the memory. The processor being configured to execute instructions to monitor a behavior of a player of a first construction toy. The first construction toy includes at least one sensor to detect a first construction made by the player between the first construction toy and a second construction toy. The processor being further configured to record the first construction made by the player between the first construction toy and the second construction toy. The processor also being configured to identify a preexisting second construction that is similar to the first construction. The processor being configured to group all the constructions. The processor being further configured to determine a behavior variability and a complexity level for the player based on the construction operations and structures.
Interactive gaming system
An interactive gaming system for a user suffering tinnitus. The system comprises a game machine configured to provide a game scenario in which the user's performance in the game scenario is based on the user's response to audio cue arrangements comprising a combination of sounds, and where at least one of the sounds has one or more sound characteristics, that are configured based on one or more sound characteristics of the user's perceived tinnitus. The system further comprises an audio delivery device or devices that are driven by the game machine to present the audio cue arrangements to the user in accordance with the game scenario and a user interface in signal communication with the game machine and which is operable by a user to interact with the game scenario by responding to the audio cue arrangements.
TOOL FOR REHABILITATING LANGUAGE SKILLS
Methods of using a tool, comprising a computer implemented system, for improving language skills comprising selecting a language concept and then a word associated with the language concept; asking the patient to answer a question related to the language concept about the first word; scoring the patient's response to the based upon at least one or more of the following: the number of words given, the number of prompts the patient needed to be provided in order to illicit the first response, the amount of time the patient needed to produce the first response; and then moving the word to a first location, that physically represents to the patient the first word score they achieved.
Further aspects involve calculating a total therapeutic session score by totaling up all the individual word scores from the therapeutic session and producing a therapeutic session report. As well as comparing results across sessions.
Apparatus and method for facilitating fine motor skill improvement
In a system having multiple coupling elements configured for single-handed coupling and single-handed de-coupling, each coupling element includes a body portion defining an opening and having a base configured to be free-standing. The body portion has an outer limb defining a hook member and at least one slot formed therein, the respective slot of a second initially free-standing coupling element being accessible to the respective hook member of a first suspended coupling element or vice versa. The coupling elements being configured so that mutual points of contact between the first and second coupling elements are maintained during both lifting and lowering the second coupling element thereby facilitating a one-handed intercoupling or decoupling operation with respect to a free standing coupling element disposed upright on a horizontal support surface.
