Laser-arrayed immersive amusement attraction
An immersive amusement system features a path to be traversed by participants, a first array of devices mounted on a first side of said path, and a second array of devices mounted on an opposing second side of said path. Each device comprises either a beam emitter operable to transmit a respective visible beam, or a beam receiver operable to detect receipt thereby of a visible beam. The arrayed devices are setup in co-operable pairs, of which each co-operable pair comprises a beam emitter in one of said arrays and a corresponding beam receiver in the other of said arrays. A controller operably connected to the arrayed devices is configured to selectively activate and deactivate said beam emitters to cause transmission of visible beams from said beam emitters to said corresponding beam receivers, and to monitor for breaking of any of said visible beams by any of said participants.
Multi-challenge game with accrued time
A method for a game to be played by a team of players including offering the team of players a first challenge, the team of players having the ability to accrue time in the first challenge, and offering the team of players a final challenge, the time allocated for completing the final challenge including at least any time accrued by the team of players in the first challenge.
CHARACTER BASED GAMES AND METHODS OF PLAY
Character based games and methods of play are provided. In preferred embodiments, the character based games include hydrophobic game boards that use characters formed from water or other liquids with surrounded or suspended character features. In a preferred embodiment, a method of play is provided. The method of play comprises: adding a character feature to water; placing the water including the character feature on a hydrophobic play surface such that the water forms a bead surrounding the character feature; and manipulating the hydrophobic play surface to cause the bead of water including the character feature to move to different locations on the play surface.
Free Weight Training Device with Labyrinth-Type Game and Method of Exercise and Entertainment
A free weight training device with labyrinth-type game and method of exercise and entertainment comprises a unique dumbbell defined by a pair of weight members joined by an elongated handle. The dumbbell is configured, so a user can develop muscle groups associated with standard weight lifting. This can include exercise movements that involve articulating muscles to move the dumbbell in a repetitive exercise motion. The dumbbell has integrated therein, a labyrinth-type game operational—directly on the outer face of at least one of the weight members. The labyrinth-type game includes at least one target area and at least one corresponding game piece. The handle is gripped and the weight members are tilted about a vertical axis to urge the game piece towards the target area, directly on the outer face of the weight members. The articulation of the dumbbell in this manner develops wrist muscles, while also entertaining the user.
DEXTERITY DEVICE WITH INTERCHANGEABLE COMPONENTS
A handheld dexterity device comprising an internal member wherein the internal member has at least one protruding member having a finger toggle. A first portion and a second portion having at least one interconnecting channel wherein the first portion and the second portion are removably connected to each other encapsulating the internal member and forming an inner surface for the internal member to rotate smoothly around in wherein the finger toggle protrudes through the channel.
INTERCONNECTED MAZE BOOK
The present invention is directed to a maze book comprising a plurality of pages including a last page, a binding, and a maze comprising a starting location and pathways to choose to solve the maze, wherein each page comprises a front page and a back page, wherein the front page and back page each comprise a partial maze comprising a pathway, the partial maze incapable of being solved on its own on the front page, and an indicator wherein the page can be altered to align the indicator on the back page to the indicator on the front page; wherein each page is aligned with the back page, using the indicator, so that the pathway of the partial maze on the front page will align with the pathway of the partial maze on the back page; and wherein the pathway of the partial maze on the back page will be aligned to the pathway of the partial maze on the front page of the next page, through a gap made visible by the fold; wherein the partial mazes of the pages can be interconnected and the maze solved.
Puzzle Book
A linked sequence of mechanically encoded puzzle pages is disclosed. Each page is comprised of multiple planar layers interconnected to implement the puzzle design of the page. The puzzle of each page must be solved to disengage a latching mechanism enabling the player to turn the page and begin solving the puzzle in the next page. Similarly for the next page, and each succeeding page until the last page, solution to the puzzle by the player will disengage a latching mechanism. The latching mechanism holds the active page being solved by the player to the next page. In the implementation of the invention described in this disclosure the latching mechanism comprises a hooking piece protruding in a perpendicular direction from the planar front surface of the next page, where the hooking piece fits into an opening on the planar back surface of the active page and a blocking piece on the active page is aligned between the hook portion and the exit to the opening, thereby preventing the hooking piece on the next page from disengaging from the active page.
CONTINUOUS MAZE BOOK DEVICE
A continuous maze book device provides a maze having continuity through a series of pages. The pages have maze indicia displayed thereon in a sequential order. The pages include a starting page, a medial page, and an ending page. The maze indicia includes a start point and a starting page exit along a continuous starting page path. The maze indicia includes a medial page entry positioned corresponding to the starting page exit and a medial page exit. The maze indicia includes an ending page entry corresponding to the medial page exit. The maze indicia on the ending page includes an end point.
