"Simulockrum" Lockpicking Game
This invention is a deductive lockpicking puzzle, composed of a clamshell style frame holding a central cylinder that is representative in appearance to that of a normal lock, with a single rectangular keyway in the center. The four locking pins in this device each have two opposing magnetic poles, generated by attached permanent magnets, on either end. Each “lockpick” has a unique pattern of four magnets so that when inserted into the keyway, complementary magnetic poles will attract a pin to the lockpick, generating auditory and tactile feedback to the player upon impact. Once the right lockpick is inserted, all four locking pins are magnetically removed from their resting positions, allowing the central cylinder to rotate ninety degrees to a solved configuration.
Electrical connector utilizing magnets for transformable electronic device
Connector element includes an enclosure made of a generally non-magnetic material having an open face; an insulating plate with a plate aperture; a permanent magnet placed inside the enclosure, the magnet dimensions preventing egress from the enclosure through the plate aperture; a washer made of a conductive soft ferromagnetic material with a washer aperture being larger than dimensions of said permanent magnet, placed inside the enclosure. Also disclosed are transformable electronic devices, optionally including displays, toys and educational kits built using the self-actuating connector elements.
CHILD PLAY PUZZLE
A child play puzzle includes a set of pieces each defining a non-circular aperture therethrough. The child play puzzle also includes a base and a pole extending from the base along a pole axis. The pole sequentially receives each piece of the set of pieces with the pole extending through the aperture of each piece to form a stack of the pieces along the pole. The pole has multiple sections spaced along its length. Each section is of non-circular cross-section in a plane perpendicular to the pole axis. At least one of the sections is rotatable about the pole axis with respect to an adjacent one of the sections, such that moving a piece from about the rotatable section to about the adjacent section requires rotationally aligning the rotatable section with the adjacent section.
Memory puzzle and methods thereof
A memory puzzle is provided that may include one or more levels of rotatable level housing, a number of puzzle spaces disposed on the rotatable level housings, and a piston for indicating that a portion of the puzzle has been solved, wherein the piston raises to a high level as levels of the puzzle are solved, wherein the puzzle is solved when a code is achieved by rotating the rotatable level housings in a specific pattern.
WISDOM RING PUZZLE
A wisdom ring puzzle including: a stage; a first ring unit positioned in a first direction with respect to the stage; a second ring unit positioned in the first direction with respect to the first ring unit; a third ring unit positioned in the first direction with respect to the second ring unit; a first pole connected to the first ring unit and the stage, and passing through an inner side of the second ring unit and an inner side of the third ring unit; a second pole connected to the second ring unit and connected to the stage through an inner side of the first ring unit; and a third pole connected to the third ring unit and connected to the stage crossing over an outer side of the first ring unit and an outer side of the second ring unit.
Spherical puzzle and associated method(s)
A spherical puzzle includes a portable body having a central core, a plurality of co-extensively shaped sections rotatably disposed about the central core, a plurality of locking mechanisms associated with the sections, respectively, and a plurality of hemispherical travel paths configured about the body. Advantageously, the sections are dynamically configured to freely rotate along the hemispherical travel paths to create a desired pattern. In this manner, locking mechanisms slidably engage the sections such that each section remain rotatably aligned along the hemispherical travel paths and about the central core.
ELECTRONIC GAMING DEVICE
Presented herein is an electronic gaming device comprising a first axle with a first center cubelet rotatably coupled to the first axle, a first sensor operatively coupled to the first axle to detect rotation of the first cubelet, and responsive to detecting rotation of the first cubelet, transmit a first signal, a second axle with a second center cubelet rotatably coupled to the second axle, a second sensor operatively coupled to the second axle to detect rotation of the second cubelet, and responsive to detecting rotation of the second cubelet, transmit a second signal, a third axle with a third center cubelet rotatably coupled to the third axle, a third sensor operatively coupled to the third axle to detect rotation of the third cubelet, and responsive to detecting rotation of the third cubelet, transmit a third signal, a plurality of interchangeable cubelets positioned about the first, second, and third axle such that mechanical rotation of a set of the interchangeable cubelets having a common plane causes one of the first, second, and third sensors to transmit one of the first, second, and third signals, storage for storing a position of each of the plurality of interchangeable cubelets, and a processor configured to receive signals from one of the first, second, and third sensors, determine changes in the position of the some of the cubelets, and write the changed positions for the some of the cubelets in the storage.
GEAR-BASED MECHANICAL PUZZLE
A multi-surfaced gear-based mechanical puzzle where the objective is to choose the proper sized gear and position on the surface(s) from available holes to have the gears align and rotate in unison on one or multiple surfaces, flat or curved, from a dictated start point to a dictated finish point.
Challenges such as going from “a” point to “c” point directly or additionally through way point “c” are outlined in an accompanying instruction booklet. Additionally, challenges may be presented as using a specific number or specific size of gears, for example, to achieve the objective.
In achieving the right combination of gear sizes and positions, the objective of going from one start point to a finish point by turning one gear to cause all other gears in the train to turn in unison can be accomplished.
The puzzle and components may be made from wood, plastic, metal or a composite material.
Display device, control system, and control program
According to one of aspects, a display device includes: a display unit configured to stereoscopically display an aggregation configured from a plurality of regular hexahedrons arrayed along mutually perpendicular three directions, in a display space, by displaying images respectively corresponding to both eyes of a user by being worn; a detection unit configured to detect movement of a body in the display space; and a control unit configured to change positions of the regular hexahedrons of the aggregation according to a detection result of the detection unit. Each of six faces of the aggregation includes external faces of the regular hexahedrons as elements, and notations with which whether all of the elements on the same face of the aggregation belong to a same group is discriminative are provided to the respective elements.
ALPHACUBE
The Alphacube invention is a collection of modular shapes that form cubes, each letter of the alphabet and that are a twisty cube puzzle that can be solved for each letter of the alphabet. The pieces can both build structures and communicate verbal messages. They are a toy, puzzle, and an educational tool to teach literacy in a fun and engaging way. The pieces can also be assembled into artistic shapes or into basic shapes that describe animals and simple things like a small hole on a flat surface.
