Recirculating Vertical Wind Tunnel
A vertical wind tunnel for indoor skydiving having at least one recirculating airflow plenum. The airflow plenum includes a first vertical member housing a flight chamber, a top horizontal member, a second vertical member, and a bottom horizontal member. The bottom horizontal member has a first section and a second section. A corner section connects the second section of the bottom horizontal member with the first vertical member. The second section of the bottom horizontal member contracts the airflow travelling through the bottom horizontal member between the first section and its exit to the corner section. The corner section further contracts the airflow exiting the second section of the bottom horizontal member towards the first vertical member.

SKI JUMP AND WINGSUIT FREE FLIGHT SIMULATOR
A drive unit for air vehicle, which allows building the vertical take-off and landing vehicles, intended for use, for instance, in the production of flying taxis, as well as in the model-making branch and in the toy industry.
The drive unit is composed of the air channel, in the form of a straight segment of a tube with circular section, which has fans with engines fixed on its both ends. The vertical draft force outlet-inlet nozzle opening is located between fixed fans of the drive unit.
Augmented situational awareness hub
A sensor hub for collecting sensor data during a parachuting or wing-suite event is described herein. In some instances, the sensor hub may include a sensor hub housing, the sensor hub housing including a first cavity that houses a power supply and a communication unit and a second cavity that houses a location sensor and an orientation sensor, wherein the communication unit is configured to share the location sensor and the orientation sensor with a second sensor hub and a helmet that attaches to the sensor hub housing.
SKYDIVING TRAJECTORY AND COORDINATION FEEDBACK SYSTEM
A system for skydiving trajectory and coordination feedback for a user. The system includes a controller coupled to a plurality of sensor inputs. The controller determines a user drag through air based on input data from the plurality of sensor inputs. The controller also receives a user flightpath and determines a projected user trajectory based on the user drag. The controller also determines user drag adjustments to align the projected user trajectory with the received user flightpath. At least one of an aural, haptic, or visual feedback device is coupled to the controller to provide feedback to the user in response to the user drag adjustments.
Wind Tunnel Turning Vane Heat Exchanger
A cooling system for a wind tunnel is disclosed. The heat exchanger of the present disclosure is formed as a turning vane in an airflow duct of a re-circulating wind tunnels. The individual vanes are formed from extruded aluminum with coolant fluid channels running continually down the length of the vane. One or more channels can be used, depending on the application of vane and the cooling capacity needed. The exterior of the vanes are formed in an airfoil shape to efficiently turn the air flow the desired amount in a manner well known in the art. The turning vanes are connected to a fluid supply with single piece connectors that removably attach to the turning vanes. In the depicted embodiment the connectors are attached with screws. In the depicted embodiment the connectors are formed as a single piece in a two-piece injection mold.
Wind tunnel for human flight
A wind tunnel for stable sustained human flight for research or recreation, including a tunnel including first and second portions having first and second central axes, respectively, and a fan to create an air flow in the test section. The second portion is a test section. The first and second central axes are arranged at a first angle with respect to each other. The second central axis is at a second angle of 5°-85° with respect to a horizontal plane. A safety system for an inclined wind tunnel for stable sustained human flight is provided, including an inclined test section of the wind tunnel that is arranged at an angle of 5°-85° with respect to a horizontal plane, a fan to create an air flow in the test section directed from an upstream end towards a downstream end thereof, and a delimiting arrangement arranged at the test section for preventing a person using the test section from leaving it.
Free fall simulator cooling system
A free fall simulator comprising: a wind tunnel system; a flight chamber connected to the wind tunnel allowing for a continuous flow of circulating air, and a cooling system for cooling of the air circulating in the wind tunnel system, wherein the cooling system comprises: an air inlet sucking in a part of the air circulating in the wind tunnel system; at least one heat exchanger comprising a coolant; and at least one air outlet adapted such that the cooled air leaves the cooling system through the at least one air outlet. The cooling system further comprises: a closed pressure chamber comprising a cooling area having pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, and at least one auxiliary fan. The at least one heat exchanger is located inside of the closed pressure chamber so that the cooling of the circulating air takes place in the cooling area.
