A method of ornamentializing an inflated balloon with a plurality of ribbon strands secured by knotting in the neck of the inflated balloon, and disclosed apparatus for ornamentializing an inflated balloon using a balloon tying station holding a plurality of spools of ribbon for selectively dispensing longitudinally across an extending cantilever to underlie a neck portion of the inflated balloon, which neck portion extends stretchingly around the cantilever and looping over and under for pulling off the cantilever and catching the ribbons to tie the knot and secure the ribbons therein, the ribbons having first and second strands cut to a selected length and secured in the knot. An apparatus for ornamentalizing an inflated balloon for a balloon bouquet is disclosed.

A tool to assist with hand-tying of knots in balloons, cords, and the like. The tool has a head consisting of a hollow tube with an opening running the length of the tube. The tube is typically tapered with a flange toward the larger end, and the opening is incorporated at an angle nonparallel to the center line of the tube, forming a notch feature that passively retains material on the head until removed by the user. The head is connected to a handle with two or more functionally independent finger loops. The tool may be retained on the hand without unduly impeding dexterity and provides for greater control of the tool when in use.

A device and technique for knotting an inflated balloon or forming a knot in another material is provided. One approach includes: holding a knot tying aid by a handle portion, the handle portion being positioned opposite a distal portion, the distal portion including several prongs (in one nonlimiting example at least three) extending away from the handle and being spaced apart from one another in correspondence to vertices of a triangle; winding a tag end portion of the inflated balloon about the prongs to form a loop; and passing part of the tag end portion through the loop to form a knot.

A balloon tying device has a base and a cantilever supported by the base. The cantilever has a U-shaped cross-section and two ears defining generally parallel planes extending outwardly and terminating at a tip for retaining a loop of balloon material. Inside the U-shape of the cantilever is an axially oriented recess for passing ribbon and providing clearance for tucking an overhand knot in a balloon tail. A brace tab extends downward from the lower edge of the base.

A balloon weight and tether assembly includes a balloon weight; a securement tab including a first locking arm providing a male member having an outer periphery and a second locking arm providing a female member having an inner periphery; and a tether having a first end coupled with the balloon weight and a second end coupled with the securement tab; where the male member and the female member are adapted to mate to thereby grip a neck or a tail of an inflated balloon between the outer periphery of the male member and the inner periphery of the female member.

A portable balloon tying device having a vertically extending tube with a first end and an opposing second end joined by a transition and an elongated channel extending outwardly as a cantilever from the transition. The first end defines a lower extent of a radiused arcuate surface for being received against a web of a hand between adjacent fingers of a person for using the portable balloon tying device, to cushion a loading and movement of the portable balloon tying device against the web which reduces fatigue and hurting during balloon tying use.

An inflatable article fastener apparatus includes two lengths of flexible cord. First and second locking structures are connected to the two lengths of flexible cord, wherein the first and second locking structures are located at a spaced distance apart from one another on the two lengths of flexible cord. An eyelet portion is formed between the first and second locking structures and at least one non-eyelet portion is formed outside of the first and second locking structure. An end of the at least one non-eyelet portion is insertable through the eyelet portion to form a collapsible loop capable of constricting a neck of an inflatable article positioned within the collapsible loop. A locked position of the collapsible loop is achieved when the first locking structure is pulled through the eyelet portion.

A balloon tying station for production of a balloon bouquet, having a rack with spaced-apart axles for spools of ribbon for selectively dispensing longitudinally and a balloon tying device having an elongated cantilever extending in the dispensing direction, so that a ribbon being dispensed longitudinally across the cantilever in the dispensing direction underlies a neck portion of a balloon, which neck portion extends stretchingly around the cantilever and looping over and under for pulling off the cantilever and catching the ribbon to tie the knot and secure the ribbon therein, and having a balloon holding device for receiving the ribbon for collecting together a group of balloons.

A balloon tool having a U-shaped body, first and second side walls extending outward from an end of the U-shaped body to form a slot between the side walls and the U-shaped body, and a tooth extending outward from the second side wall toward the first side wall to present a gap between a distal end of the tooth and the second side wall. The balloon tool is preferably configured for tying a knot in a balloon by sliding the neck of a balloon into the slot and through the gap, wrapping the neck of the balloon around the U-shaped body, inserting an end of the balloon between the U-shaped body and the portion of the neck wrapped around the U-shaped body, and sliding the neck of the balloon back out through the gap. The balloon tool preferably includes a hollow channel for filling a balloon with fluid.
