Patient simulator
In a patient simulator, in particular a premature baby, newborn or child simulator, including a simulated thorax, a pneumatic lung simulator and a simulated trachea leading to the lung simulator, wherein the simulated thorax includes a simulated chest including at least one liftable and lowerable chest element to simulate lifting and lowering of the chest, the at least one liftable and lowerable chest element cooperates with a lifting and lowering mechanism actuatable independently of the lung simulator.
Plush toy with sensory development
A plush toy is provided. The plush toy includes a head attached to a body having two leg-like appendages. The toy has an opening leading to a first pocket located inside the body. The first pocket is interconnected to a second pocket located inside the head. The opening to the second pocket at the intersection of the head and body can be closed with a hook-and-look type fastener. The second pocket is sized and configured to contain a sensory stimulus module capable of playing music, vibrating, and emitting white noise at different volumes to sooth a child. When inserted inside the second pocket, buttons on the module are aligned with indicia on the posterior side of the head which permit a user to press through the fabric to activate and control the module. A teether in the shape of hugging arms is attached to the toy and provides teething relief and enjoyment for the child.
SLEEP-INDUCING TOY
The present invention relates to a vibration module for a sleep-inducing toy, the module comprising a vibration apparatus configured to produce a mechanical vibration generating at least two different frequencies for transferring via a medium to a user; to the sleep-inducing toy, and to a method and for inducing and/or maintain sleep for comforting a person.
RELAXATION DEVICE WITH BREATHING MOTION SIMULATOR
A breathing motion simulator for simulating an expanding and retracting movement of live breathing, includes a pump and an inflatable bladder for generating a repetitive motion resembling a breathing motion. The simulator includes a cover plate positioned across the bladder and a cover guidance for linearly guiding the cover plate with respect to a base body. The cover guidance includes at least a first living hinge unit and a second living hinge unit oriented in a non-parallel direction with respect to each other for constraining a rotational movement of the cover plate, where each living hinge unit includes at least three stacked living hinges defining a set of three pivot axes in parallel for allowing a translational movement of the cover plate, such that the cover guidance enables a linear movement of the cover plate.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR SIMULATING LIFE-LIKE HUMAN EMOTIONAL STATES
A method, apparatus, and system according to which a patient simulator includes one or more of the following: a left eye assembly including a simulated left pupil, a simulated left eyelid, and/or a simulated left iris; a right eye assembly including a simulated right pupil, a simulated right eyelid, and/or a simulated right iris; a neck assembly including a simulated neck; a left brow assembly including a simulated left brow; a right brow assembly including a simulated right brow; a tear duct assembly including simulated left and right cheeks through which artificial pores are formed; and a mouth assembly including a simulated mouth. In various embodiments, any one, or a combination, of these assemblies may be, include, or be part of, a manikin in the form of a human face, and may therefore be activated simultaneously to realistically simulate life-like human emotional states.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A DIGITALLY-INTERACTIVE PLUSH BODY THERAPEUTIC APPARATUS
A system and method for a therapeutic apparatus that includes an external casing of a first therapeutic apparatus, wherein the external casing comprises of a plush body, the external casing comprising at least one compartment; a therapeutic module system that comprises of a set of interaction devices and a wireless communication system, wherein the therapeutic module system may be removably oriented into the at least one compartment; the set of interaction devices comprising of: sensing inputs that comprise of a auditory sensing system, a haptic sensing system, an olfaction sensing system, and other biosensing systems, and output systems that comprise of at least an auditory feedback and haptic feedback systems; and a processing system that comprises configuration to assess the state of a subject through the sensing inputs and control the output systems in response to the sensing inputs.
Apparatus, systems, and methods for simulating life-like human facial features/expressions
A method and apparatus according to which a patient simulator includes one or more of the following: a left eye assembly including a simulated left pupil, a simulated left eyelid, and/or a simulated left iris; a right eye assembly including a simulated right pupil, a simulated right eyelid, and/or a simulated right iris; a neck assembly including a simulated neck; a left brow assembly including a simulated left brow; a right brow assembly including a simulated right brow; a tear duct assembly including simulated left and right cheeks through which artificial pores are formed; and a mouth assembly including a simulated mouth. In various embodiments, any one, or a combination, of these assemblies may be, include, or be part of, a manikin in the form of a human face, and may therefore be activated simultaneously to realistically simulate life-like human facial features/expressions.
Comforting device
A comforting device for soothing and comforting a user includes a shell, which defines an interior space. The shell is pliable and can be grasped by the user. A filler, which is resiliently compressible, is positioned in and substantially occupies the interior space. An audio module, which is positioned in the interior space, selectively emits a first sound, which mimics a heartbeat, and a second sound, which mimics a respiratory sound, such as breath sounds and snoring. The audio module broadcasts the first sound and the second sound to comfort the user.
