20230073064 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A finger mounted spinning device having an elongated housing body, preferably having a plurality of LED lights mounted into the housing body. The housing body is provided with a circular opening adjacent one end, sized such that a finger may be inserted through the opening. An annular gripping member extends inwardly within the opening, mounted to the housing body in rotational manner such that such that the elongated housing body is rotatable about the user’s finger while the finger gripping member remains stationary on the user’s finger. When spinning about the user’s finger, the lights present a visible two-dimensional pattern

In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided, and includes a toy assembly housing, an extensible object inside the toy assembly housing, an extension mechanism, and an extension member power source. The extensible object includes a base, and first and second extension members. The extension mechanism is operable to drive the first and second extension members towards extended positions, and is operatively connected to the second extension member via a lost motion connection. Driving of the extension mechanism by the extension mechanism power source drives the first extension member towards the extended position for the first extension member to break or open the toy assembly housing to expose the extensible object while consuming at least a portion of the lost motion in the lost motion connection. Upon consuming the lost motion, further driving the extension mechanism drives the first and second extension members towards the extended positions.

A mechanical spinning robot toy includes a top section and a bottom exposed outer gear section. The top section resembles a robot possibly including a head portion and a body portion which may be integral. Any of a variety of arm-like appendages extends outward from the body. The spinning drive mechanism is within the top section. The bottom section has teeth or cogs capable of meshing with another gear or a rack on any of a variety of accessories to move the robot along a track or to animate the accessories. A lower weighted convex surface portion in the bottom biases the robot upright and facilitates spinning of the robot upright. The top and bottom sections are frictionally fit together to rotate or spin together and to spin separately with respect to each when either the top or bottom sections are not allowed to spin.

Spinner toy and method of rotating same

A spinner toy with operational autonomy from an outside energy source, increased duration of rotation, and improved entertainment qualities is described. A rotating element of a spinner toy is configured to be centrally balanced relative to a central axis of rotation and is equipped with a means of rotation in the form of a ball bearing and screw converter having a housing in the form of a hollow sleeve, which is capable of converting the reciprocating motion of a pusher of the means of rotation into unidirectional rotational motion without slowing the rotating element. The present method includes imparting rotation to the rotating element without interrupting the use of the spinner toy by a user by means of mechanically converting the reciprocating motion of the pusher of the means of rotation in the form of a ball bearing and screw converter into unidirectional rotational motion without slowing the rotating element.
