AMAZING GRACE FLYING TOY
20230051679 · 2023-02-16 ·

This invention is a tubular shaped flying toy comprised of a polypropylene (foam) main cylindrical body with a heavy plastic ring supported front end. The main foam body is held in place to the plastic ring support with the help of rubber bracelet bands that stretch around the outside of the front end of the toy where the foam body stretches onto the hard plastic ring. The toy is thrown with a baseball type throwing motion, and provides a graceful, smooth flight.

Disclosed herein is a spring ring device having a unique ability to bounce and rebound off hard surfaces while maintaining a continued flight path, acting as if it had just been thrown back to the thrower after ricocheting off a wall. The spring ring device will bounce off one or multiple surfaces and can be caught by the same or a different player. The spring ring device generally includes a ring, a ring cover configured to encase the ring. The spring ring device may also include a shell configured to cover at least a portion of the ring cover. The unique structure of the spring ring device allows the device to bounce and rebound off hard surfaces and maintain a continued flight path.

A disc shaped throwing object comprises a soft disc having a central section, a bridging section and a rim, where the central section forms a disc centre through which a central axis is defined and which central section is joined to the rim via the bridging section. The disc further comprises a holding structure placed radially around the central axis, the holding structure being joined with and stretching out in a direction away from an inner surface of the central section. The holding structure is adapted to hold a module with electrically powered elements in abutment with the inner surface.

Magnus Effect Cylindrical Projectile and Launcher
20230233955 · 2023-07-27 ·

The present invention is a toy launcher system. A lightweight projectile has an exterior surface symmetrically disposed about an imaginary longitudinal axis and is generally spool-shaped. The launcher is composed of a flexible shaft to which a flexible curled band is attached. The flexible curled band holds the projectile within its curvature. A user applying a bending force to the flexible shaft creates a spring force within the shaft. When the user removes the bending force, the spring force causes the flexible shaft to return to its rest state. As the flexible shaft returns to its rest state the band uncurls, thereby launching the projectile into flight.

Device for Displaying in Response to a Sensed Motion
20230231415 · 2023-07-20 ·

A device includes a signaling means and a motion sensor, and logic for activating or controlling the signaling means in response to a sensed motion according to an embedded logic. The device may be used as a toy, and may be shaped like a play ball or as a handheld unit. It may be powered from a battery, either chargeable from an AC power source directly or contactless by using induction or by converting electrical energy from harvested kinetic energy. The embedded logic may activate or control the signaling means, predictably or randomly, in response to sensed acceleration magnitude or direction, such as sensing the crossing of a preset threshold or sensing the peak value. The visual means may be a numeric display for displaying a value associated with the count of the number of times the threshold has been exceeded or the peak magnitude of the acceleration sensed.
