20230158420 · 2023-05-25 ·

A toy for simulating the dispensing of a beverage. The toy includes a bench decorated to represent a beverage dispenser, such as an espresso machine. The toy also includes a simulated filter basket. The filter basket has a handle, a disc receiver and a support ring. The handle and disc receiver are rotatably connected with the ring so that, when the handle is rotated, the handle and disc receiver rotate about the horizontal axis with respect to the ring. One or more discs shaped to rest in the disc receiver are provided. Each disc has a decoration on one face showing a material used to create a beverage, for example, ground coffee, and a second face decorated to represent the top surface of a dispensed beverage, for example, a latte. The toy is operated by placing one of the discs in the disc receiver with the face showing the material facing upward. The filter basket is into a slot on the frame and the cup is positioned beneath the disc receiver. The user rotates the handle so that the disc receiver faces downward, flipping the disc over and allowing the disc to drop into the cup with the second face, representing the surface of the dispensed beverage facing upward.

SELECTABLE REFRESHMENT DISPENSER TOY

A toy simulating a selectable beverage container may include a rotatable spindle having an axis of rotation arranged horizontally, a band connected with the spindle and arranged to wind onto and off the spindle, and a spigot arranged around at least a portion of the spindle, wherein the spigot comprises one or more openings arranged to allow the band to extend downward from the spindle. Rotation of the spindle in a first direction causes the band to unwind from the spindle and to extend from the spigot. A second band may be attached to another side of the spindle such that rotation of the spindle in a second direction causes the second band to extend down from the spindle.

In a model toy, a second rotating shaft of a second rotating member is provided at a position offset from a first rotating shaft of a first rotating member such that an axial direction of the second rotating shaft is in parallel with that of the first rotating shaft. A position of a center of gravity of the first rotating member is positioned on an opposite side of the second rotating shaft with respect to the first rotating shaft. The first rotating member is configured to rotate around an axis of the first rotating shaft so as to be operable between a first state where the position of the center of gravity is positioned below the second rotating shaft and a second state where the position of the center of gravity is positioned above the second rotating shaft.

A kit for creating and healing a simulated wound includes a fabric patch that can be saturated with a liquid to become translucent. The patch includes an image of a simulated wound, such as a cut, scratch, or abrasion. Water is applied to a person's skin. The patch is applied to the wetted skin and is saturated by the water, causing the fabric forming the patch to become translucent so that the color of the user's skin is at least partially visible through the patch. This creates the illusion that the simulated wound image is an actual injury. The kit also includes a simulated bandage. The bandage has a gripping portion, such as a patch of hook materials from a hook-and-loop fastener, on its bottom surface. When the gripping portion of the bandage is contacted with the patch, the gripping portion engages with the fabric so that when the bandage is pulled away from the skin, the patch and the simulated wound are also pulled away from the skin, creating the illusion that the wound has been healed.
