Resettable breakaway apparatus
A resettable breakaway apparatus may include: a housing having an aperture. A plunger may extend through the aperture, and the plunger may be movably coupled to the housing. The plunger may have a plunger head, and the plunger head may be movable between a first position, in which the plunger head is relatively farther from the housing, and a second position, in which the plunger head is relatively closer to the housing. A tensioner may tension or compress the plunger head in the first position. The apparatus may further include a receiver having a receiver head. The housing may be coupled to a first object and the receiver may be coupled to a second object, and the apparatus may be configured to removably couple the objects together by engaging the plunger head with the receiver head so that the plunger head may be positioned between the first and second position.
DIRECTION CONTROL TRAINING DEVICE FOR THE PHYSICAL AND VISUAL TRAINING OF ATHLETIC MOVEMENT
A device for training athletes with direction control, the training device having modular sections connected by a common elastic material, such as an elastic cord, the modular sections being capable of being connected to form a rectangular configuration and disconnected for storage, the device when connected providing a physical and visual guide for the user on any chosen surface. The modular sections can be tubular sections having ninety-degree connectors to form a rectangular configuration, the modular sections and connectors capable of being various sizes, shapes, lengths and widths to form a rectangular configuration when interconnected. The various modular sections and/or connectors can be configured with an elastic cord, hinges or have one or more modular section that are telescopic in nature, which make the device capable to be quickly and easily reduced or enlarged in the size of the device while keeping each component of the device fully connected and in proper order.
Method for placing crossbar using crossbar end indicia
A method for consistently placing a crossbar on a pin on a standard used in a vertical distance field event such as high jump and pole vault. The crossbar has a crossbar end with a directional index on at least one surface. In another example embodiment, the crossbar end has a plurality of ordinal indicia alone or with the directional index. A worker notes the placement of the directional index and the ordinal indicia when placing the crossbar a first time. The worker subsequently places the crossbar making sure the directional index and ordinal indicia appear in the same position relative to the standards and relative to the pin on the standard.
MULTIPURPOSE ATHLETIC TRAINING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A multipurpose athletic training device and method are shown and described. The device includes for a first stake assembly. The first stake assembly is made up of a first base and a first stake. The first stake is connected perpendicularly to the first base. The first stake has at least one crossbar supporting device secured thereto. A crossbar is removably placed within the at least one crossbar supporting device of the first stake at a first end of the crossbar. The device further includes a second stake assembly. The second stake assembly includes a second base and a second stake, where in the second stake is connected perpendicularly to the second base. The second stake has at least one crossbar supporting device secured thereto. The crossbar is removably placed within the at least one crossbar supporting device of the second stake at a second end of the crossbar.
Adjustable hurdle
Two or more hurdle loops of varying heights connect to a horizontal crossbar by a rotatable interface. The horizontal crossbar is supported by legs that each end in base. Each hurdle loop has an upright and collapsed position, to provide adjustable height settings for use in physical activities.
Hurdle assist
A hurdle assist includes a flexible tubular lower section comprising a first length and a first slit along the first length, a flexible tubular upper section comprising a second length and a second slit along the second length, and a flexible rod which is slidably removably coupled with the flexible upper section. Attaching the hurdle assist to a hurdle mimics a flexible hurdle for the runner to practice without fear of injury.
Hurdle structure
A hurdle structure includes a transverse bar, two upright poles, two support rods, and a plurality of hinge mechanisms. Each of the hinge mechanisms is mounted between the transverse bar and each of the two upright poles, and between each of the two upright poles and each of the two support rods. Each of the hinge mechanisms includes a first pivot member, and a second pivot member pivotally connected with the first pivot member. Each of the hinge mechanisms further includes an adjusting unit mounted between the first pivot member and the second pivot member. The adjusting unit includes a locking member and a positioning member. The locking member is provided with a plurality of grooves. The positioning member is provided with a projection positioned in one of the grooves of the locking member.
AGILITY TRAINING LADDER
An agility training ladder may include a plurality of frame bodies, and each of the frame bodies has a first board and a second board. Each of the first board and the second board has two connecting members respectively at two ends thereof. Each of the first boards comprises two first connecting ribs at two lateral surfaces thereof while each of the second boards has two second connecting ribs at two lateral surfaces thereof. Each of the connecting members comprises two third connecting ribs at two lateral surfaces thereof and two first connecting recesses at two ends thereof, and the first connecting recesses are communicated with the lateral surfaces of the connecting members. The first boards and the second boards are connected through the connecting members, and the first connecting recess is adapted to slide along to the first, second or third connecting rib.
Systems and methods for training people to a modified gait or posture
Device for training people to a preferred posture during normal gait comprising of: at least a base for stabilizing at least one rail or post coupled to said base at least one gait regulating component, which will be arranged perpendicularly with respect to said rod or post and parallel to the floor surface, with said gait regulating component provided for defining an obstacle during the normal gait of a user to impose on the latter a predetermined movement of the foot, knee, and hip, facilitating the maintenance of the user's bust erected in a position of equilibrium, with the consequent lengthening of the pushing leg, the gradual transition of the weight of the user's body by the supporting foot posterior to that of the advancing leg, and the oscillation of the arm forward opposite to the lower limb that moves, with a final effect of a steady pace.
Pedal Operated Hurdle
A hurdle with a riser assembly having a gate board attached to movable gate tubes that telescope upon uprights and with a cross support between the trailing ends of the legs has a height adjustment system that includes a pedal in the cross support. Depressing the pedal retracts spring loaded posts to allow a user to hold and move the gate board up or down with the hands.
