This invention was designed to condense, separate and collect volatile compounds from the vapor steam as they exit the dehydrator. Bulk condensate is allowed to accumulate and separate in a separator vessel under vacuum. The undesirable water phase condensate is periodically drained into a water vessel, which is also held under vacuum instead of atmospheric pressure to avoid agitation and mixing of the contents of the separator vessel arising from purging the separator vessel to atmosphere. The separated and desirable oily condensates can then be easily recovered from the separator vessel.

The second evaporator operates a lower pressure than the first evaporator to provide a urea melt and second vapor, solidifying the urea melt in a finishing section to provide a solid urea produce and off gas, scrubbing the off gas followed by condensing to produce a first condensate and second condensate; supplying the first condensate to a wastewater treatment section and supply the second condensate to the scrubber wherein the second condensate is used as a scrub liquid in the scrubber.

The brine water not evaporated by the plates is collected and filtered, and any precious metals or valuable minerals may be extracted therefrom. Steam generated from the heating process may be used to power an electrical generator, which generator may provide electrical power to operate the apparatus.
