DISTILLATION PROCESSES, DISTILLATION UNITS, AND SYSTEMS THEREFOR
Processes and systems suitable for purifying or otherwise treating liquids to remove contaminants therein, including but not limited to contaminated water, to permit reclaiming, recycling, and reuse of the liquids. Such a process and system entails the use of a cascading distillation system that evaporates a liquid from the feedstock and then condenses and collects a more purified form of the liquid. The cascading distillation system can be operated to selectively process the feedstock through any of a series of vessels at which different amounts and/or contaminants may be removed from the feedstock.

Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
Preparation process of food-grade potassium dihydrogen phosphate
The present invention discloses a preparation process of food-grade potassium dihydrogen phosphate, wherein phosphoric acid prepared from wet-process phosphoric acid is used for the preparation of high-purity potassium dihydrogen phosphate. The preparation process of food-grade potassium dihydrogen phosphate provided in the present invention effectively reduces the preparation cost of the high-purity potassium dihydrogen phosphate and has the advantage of high process controllability, and by such a process, high-purity potassium dihydrogen phosphate crystals that meet the food-grade requirements can be produced, which crystals have uniform particle size distribution and comprises few fine powder, having a very high market value.

Apparatus and method for treating waste water containing ammonium salts
Apparatus and methods are related to treating waste water containing ammonium salts, which contains NH.sub.4.sup.+, SO.sub.4.sup.2−, Cl.sup.−, and Na.sup.+. In such a method, the pH value of the waste water to be treated is adjusted to a specific range in advance; sodium sulfate crystal and relatively concentrated ammonia are obtained by first evaporation, and then sodium chloride crystal and relatively dilute ammonia is obtained by second evaporation; alternatively, sodium chloride crystal and relatively concentrated ammonia is obtained by third evaporation, and then sodium sulfate crystal and relatively dilute ammonia are obtained by fourth evaporation. Ammonia, sodium sulfate, and sodium chloride from the waste water are recovered so that the resources in the waste water can be reused.
Installation and method for purifying fluids by distillation
Method and plant for fluid purification by distillation comprising a reservoir (1) with a fluid containing diluted solids provided with an impurities filter on its outlet (2); a pump (3) connected to the reservoir outlet (1) and set up to increase the fluid containing solids pressure and temperature; and a heat area (4) for the fluid containing solids comprising a plurality of ducts contacting with a heat transfer fluid; and, furthermore, comprising a convergent-divergent nozzle (5) connected to the heat area outlet (4) and set to increase the biphasic liquid-vapor fluid speed so the diluted solids contained in the fluid already heated settle in a solids reservoir (6), whereas the fluid passes to a condenser (7) and then to a purified fluid reservoir (8) already in liquid state.

MODULAR WATER PURIFICATION DEVICE
A water purification device comprising a pre-purified water reservoir for storing pre-purified water, a water vapor chamber for receiving water vapor generated from heating the pre-purified water in the pre-purified water reservoir, a condensation chamber for receiving the water vapor and condensing the water vapor into purified water, and a Peltier device comprising a hot side and a cold side. The hot side of the Peltier device heats the pre-purified water into water vapor and the cold side of the Peltier device condenses the water vapor into purified water.
DISTILLATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A distillation apparatus includes an evaporator-condenser heat exchanger in combination with a compressor. The heat exchanger is mounted to float in an at least partially immersed position in a sump of liquid. The liquid may be a sap, or may be soiled water, and may have suspended solid. Heating of the liquid yield steam, the steam is compressed, and the heated, compressed steam is fed back into the heat exchanger to provide further heat to the liquid. The process yields a concentrated in the liquid bath and distilled water, each of which may be a desired product. The system may include a pre-heater that exchanges residual heat from the hot distillate with the cooler input liquid. The apparatus and process may have multiple stages.
CONTINUOUS FRACTIONATION OF CRUDE TALL OIL TO REFINED TALL DIESEL
The present invention describes a process for continuous fractionation of CTO (crude tall oil) to RTD (refined tall diesel), said process comprising:—when removing a stream of TOP (tall oil pitch) the CTO is fed through at least two evaporation zones arranged in series so that one stream of CTO is fed from a first evaporation zone to a second evaporation zone, wherein a TOP stream is produced and fed from the second evaporation zone, wherein a first vapor stream is produced within the first evaporation zone and a second vapor stream is produced within the second evaporation zone and wherein there is a temperature difference of at least 10° C. between the first vapor stream and the second vapor stream; and—feeding the first vapor stream and the second vapor stream into a subsequent fractionation column to produce a stream of RTD from the fractionation column, wherein the first vapor stream and the second vapor stream are being fed to different positions, relative to the column height, in the fractionation column, where different conditions are applied to ensure suitable fractionations of a more fatty acid rich material and a more rosin rich material, respectively, and which different positions in the fractionation column are separated by packing means.
