Systems for extracting solute from a source material
Systems for extracting solute from a source material are shown and described. Each of the systems includes: a solvent source container configured to store a cooled solvent, a canister configured to contain the source material and receive solvent to produce an extract solution, and one or more extract containers in communication configured to receive and distill the extract solution, the solvent source container being configured to receive a post-extraction portion of the solvent. In some examples, the one or more extract containers are first and second extract containers that are each selectively coupleable to the canister and are selectively removable for storage of the extract mixture or the solute. In some other examples, the system further includes a cooling mechanism coupled to the solvent source container for cooling the recycled solvent within the solvent collection container.

Devices and methods for the high-pressure treatment of bulk material by extraction and/or impregnation. The bulk material is arranged in the interior volume of a pressure vessel device and is treated at a high pressure while sealed off from the surroundings. The high-pressure treatment is performed batchwise in a closed system in the pressure vessel device in a pressure-tight fashion. The bulk material is fed batchwise to the interior volume with the pressure vessel device closed and being arranged on at least one treatment level and, after the high-pressure treatment has occurred, being discharged batchwise from the interior volume with the pressure vessel device closed. The invention furthermore relates to the use of a supporting tray module with at least one treatment level for the high-pressure treatment in a closed system.
Methods and apparatus for counter-current leaching of finely divided solids
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for counter-current solids leaching. A multi-stage countercurrent leaching chamber can include a top and bottom end, a barren liquor input, two or more regions for countercurrent mixing, and a barren solids output. The input can be configured to receive barren liquor. The two or more regions for countercurrent mixing and separation can be configured to mix and separate liquid and solid phases. The barren solids output can be configured to collect and discharge barren solids from the bottom end of the multi-stage countercurrent leaching chamber. A fluidized bed chamber and clarifier chamber can also be included, where the fluidized bed receives a fluidizable slurry of pregnant solids and the clarifier chamber aids in separating liquids from solids passing from a top of the fluidized bed chamber to the top end of the multi-stage countercurrent leaching chamber.

A device for automatic extraction, storage and encapsulation of fatty compounds, the device may include: an extraction unit configured to provide a liquid mixture comprising fatty compounds extracted from biological material and a liquid solvent; an evaporation and reaction unit; a storage unit comprising one or more storage outlet ports; and a controller configured to: control delivery of the liquid mixture from the extraction unit to the evaporation and reaction unit; control evaporation of the solvent from the liquid mixture in the evaporation and reaction unit; control delivery of the liquid mixture from the evaporation and reaction unit to the storage unit; detect safe connection of each of at least one of one or more capsules to one of the one or more storage outlet ports of the storage unit; and control filling of at least one of the one or more connected capsules with the liquid mixture.
PROCEDURE FOR SELECTIVE EXTRACTION OF ACTIVE PRINCIPLED AND/OR OLEORESINS FROM VEGETABLE MATERIAL AND RELATED SYSTEM
A process for the extraction of oleoresins from vegetable material by solvent comprising the following successive steps:
a solvent washing step of vegetable material in maceration means controlled in temperature and/or pressure for a time varying between 10 and 60 minutes, with a proportion between the mass of vegetable material to be treated and the volume of solvent between 1:5 kg/l 1:10 kg/l; the temperature is controlled by means of a cryogenic fluid and is between −60 ° C. and −100 ° C., thus obtaining a mixture containing a solid fraction, and a liquid fraction in which the oleoresins dissolved in the solvent are included;
a pressing step of the mixture in order to separate the solid fraction of vegetable material from the liquid fraction of solvent containing the oleoresins;
a step of filtration of the liquid fraction of the mixture;
a step of separation of the solvent from the liquid fraction of the mixture in an evaporator, controlled under pressure and temperature, in which the pressure is between 10 mbar and 50 mbar and the temperature is between 10° C. and 40° C., thus obtaining so the active principles and/or the oleoresins.

Method and Apparatus for Industrial Production of an Extract by Solid-Liquid Extraction
The industrial production of an extract by means of solid-liquid extraction improves the exchange of substances during extraction and allows enhanced dehumidification of a raffinate with residual moisture.
The extraction is enhanced during a first dwell time by at least partially flooding a vessel in the form of at least one flow discharged with a secondary solvent or the obtained extract, swirling and keeping in suspension the primary mixture within the vessel by supplying the secondary solvent or the obtained extract via a foot area of the vessel, and/or moving the vessel relative to the extraction container within the obtained extract.
The secondary solvent or the extract circulates in the extraction container by a circulation guide incorporating the extraction container from top to bottom relative to the extraction container, and the extract freed from raffinate with residual moisture obtained by dehumidification is supplied to the separated or to be separated extract.

A method for isolating a lithium precursor according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes preparing a preliminary precursor mixture including a preliminary lithium precursor and a preliminary transition metal precursor, mixing the preliminary precursor mixture and a precipitation liquid in a reactor to form a precursor mixture, and injecting a non-reactive gas into the precursor mixture. Accordingly, the lithium precursor can be isolated with high yield and high efficiency.
