Separation vessel and buoyant thermal energy transfer device for use therein

A separation vessel containing a multi-phase mixture comprising oil and water comprises a buoyant thermal energy transfer device. The buoyant thermal energy transfer device further comprises a thermally conductive body and an internal heating element. The buoyant thermal energy transfer device defines a collective specific gravity between about 0.7 and about 1.2, which may be accomplished by adding positioning floats to the buoyant thermal energy transfer device. With such a collective specific gravity, the buoyant thermal energy transfer device is situated in the emulsion layer of the multi-phase mixture, with the internal heating element applying heat to emulsion layer, aiding in the breakage of emulsions. Demulsified oil and water may then be removed from the separation vessel.

Subsea processing of crude oil

A subsea multiphase fluid separation system has a gas separator for separating gas from a well stream containing oil. A water separation stage downstream of the gas separator has at least one dual pipe separator for separating water from the oil of the wellstream. A water treatment system for cleaning oil from water is produced by the water separation stage. On an oil outlet path, downstream of the or each dual pipe separator, there is an electrocoalescer and at least one second separator in series.

HYDROCARBON PRODUCTION AND STORAGE FACILITY

A garage space system for lodge guests, the system including one or more enclosable garage spaces each having a securable garage door, a drainage portion configured to drain liquid out of the one or more garage spaces, and a water supply configured to supply water for washing vehicles inside the respective one or more garage spaces.

Removable trap stations for hydrocarbon flowlines

Removable trap stations for hydrocarbon flowlines can be implemented as an apparatus. The apparatus includes a multi-phase fluid receiver body and a tank defining an interior volume. The fluid receiver body is configured to couple to a flowline carrying a multi-phase fluid including solids and liquids. The fluid receiver body includes an inlet portion configured to receive a portion of the multi-phase fluid including a portion of the solids flowing through the flowline into the receiver body. The fluid receiver body includes an outlet portion fluidically coupled to the inlet portion. The portion of the multi-phase fluid is configured to flow from the inlet portion to the outlet portion. The tank is fluidically and detachably coupled to the outlet and is configured to receive and retain the portion of the multi-phase fluid received through the inlet portion.

REMOVAL OF INSOLUBLES FROM AQUEOUS STREAMS USED IN FOOD PROCESSING

A food processing system includes at least one receptacle containing a composition of water and insoluble solids, a centripetal force-based solid/liquid separator having an inlet, a solids outlet, and a liquid outlet, and a pump able to direct the composition from the receptacle to the inlet of the separator. The separator is configured to separate the composition into a solids stream including the insoluble solids and a liquid stream including water and to direct the solids stream through the solids outlet and the liquid stream through the liquid outlet.

Grease interceptor and method of use thereof

A grease interceptor and method of use thereof is provided for separating solids, fats, oils, and grease waste (“F.O.G.”), and other particulate matter. The grease interceptor receives waste water in a liquid storage area where solids in the waste water have residence time long enough to gravitationally separate towards the bottom of the liquid storage area and waste that is less dense than water floats to the top of the liquid storage area. A series of features including channels, interrupter plates, and walls can increase the residence time or otherwise improve the separation of waste from the water. In addition, embodiments of the grease interceptor can have tapered access holes that improve visual inspection of the liquid storage area of the grease interceptor.
