Separator system and method

A separator system and method may provide a four-way separator that may separate a material and remove a hazardous material. The hazardous material may include gas and sand that may be removed by the four-way separator. The separator system and method may further provide a main unit that may include three chambers or recirculation hoppers, an auger sand extractor, and a strap tank. The separator system and method may provide a faster rig-up time and may be exclusively driven by hydraulics.

A flow back system for separating solids from a slurry recovered from a hydrocarbon well. The system includes a V-shaped tank with a first series of baffles configured to cause the settling of solids that are moved by a shaftless auger to a conduit fluidly connected to hydrocyclones mounted over a linear shaker. The overflow from the hydrocyclones is discharged through a second conduit back into the tank for processing by a second series of baffles resulting in a clean effluent. The clean effluent is recirculated in the well.

An apparatus for the extraction of phosphorus from wastewater that includes a precipitation module and a retention module. The precipitation module includes a crystallization vessel, one or more inlets disposed in a lower region of the precipitation module and at least one outlet disposed in an upper region of the precipitation module. The retention module includes a sedimentation vessel, at least one inlet disposed in an upper region of the retention module and at least one outlet disposed in a lower region of the retention module. At least one outlet of the precipitation module is connected to at least one inlet of the retention module and at least one outlet of the retention module is connected to at least one inlet of the precipitation module. The volume VS of the sedimentation vessel is greater than/equal to 0.6 times the volume VC of the crystallization vessel (VS≧0.6.Math.VC).

WATER CONTAINMENT UNIT AND FILTRATION SYSTEM
20170231457 · 2017-08-17 ·

A main housing provides a first reservoir and a second reservoir. Water flows from the first reservoir to the second reservoir. A draining aperture in the first reservoir directs water from the first reservoir to the second reservoir. The water may be flushed from the first reservoir to the second reservoir. In another embodiment, the water may flow directly from the first tank to the second tank without the flush. A pump circulates water from the second reservoir to the first reservoir. The pump directs the water through a filtration system to filter the water to remove at least some of the dirt, debris, and other contaminants from the water. The filtered water is then returned to the first reservoir. An overflow relief in a dividing wall of the first reservoir directs overflow water to the second reservoir.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ENHANCING COOLING POND PERFORMANCE AND SALT PRODUCTION IN A SOLUTION MINING OPERATION

A cooling pond system and related methods of improving cooling performance in a cooling pond system using one or more submerged dams to increase cooling performance within the cooling pond system, and increase salt precipitation or recovery. The inclusion of one or more submerged dams within an existing cooling pond system can reduce an outflow temperature by 1-5° F. as compared to the same cooling pond system without any submerged dams. In addition or alternatively, pond depth can be controlled to enhance flow mixing and convection cooling. As the temperature is reduced throughout the cooling pond system, more potassium containing salts are precipitated form the brine solution resulting in increased production or recovery within the same cooling footprint.
