SOLIDS HANDLING IN WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Apparatuses, systems, and methods related to water treatment are generally described. In particular, clarifiers that may improve solids thickening and related systems and methods are disclosed.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR SEPARATION OF BLOOD COMPONENTS
The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for the separation of blood components including separation by rapid sedimentation, including in an automated fashion.
Rake-free thickening device including driving area
Disclosed is a rake-free thickening device including driving area. The device includes a feed assembly, a diversion assembly and a clean coal collection assembly. The clean coal collection assembly includes a driving area. The diversion assembly includes a central tank. Slime water passes through the feed assembly and flows with a medicament from an upper part of the central tank to a middle of the central tank, and then diffuses around. Bubbles carry the fine slime up after reacting. The driving zone drives the dispersed bubbles to a defoaming zone located in the middle of the central tank. The slime water in the central tank flows through the central tank after defoaming. With the continuously filling of slime water, the slime water above the central tank overflows the central tank to the clean coal collection assembly within the diversion and settlement area.
Single stage clarifier and mixing assembly
A single stage clarifier and mixing assembly includes a housing, a mixing section within the housing and a clarifier section within the housing. The mixing section includes a mixing chamber having (a) an inlet, adapted for delivering an inlet stream to the mixing chamber, at an upper end, and (b) a mixing section outlet at a lower end. The clarifier section extends concentrically around the mixing section. The single stage clarifier and mixing assembly also includes an agitator adapted for mixing the inlet stream in the mixing chamber.
Water clarification method and device
The invention relates to a method and device for clarifying water by means treatment of the colloidal structures contained in a liquid and/or a sludge supplied in a continuous flow at a flow rate of Q.sub.EB=V.sub.EB/hour. The flow is sprayed into a chamber under overpressure conditions in relation to atmospheric pressure, said chamber having a volume v<V.sub.EB/20, and air being injected simultaneously therein at a flow rate d.
Multipurpose wheel-washing apparatus
A multipurpose wheel-washing apparatus includes a wheel-washing unit including an upper frame provided with a plurality of rollers on which wheels of a vehicle are to be rotatably seated, and injection nozzles configured to inject high-pressure washing water onto the wheels seated on the rollers; and a lower frame provided with a water tank located below the upper frame so as to collect falling waste/turbid water; a water storage unit configured to store washing water to be supplied to the injection nozzles; a purification unit configured to receive and purify the waste/turbid water from the water tank and then send purified water to the water storage unit; and a blowing unit disposed on an exit side of the wheel-washing unit so as to blow air and provided with spray nozzles for selectively spraying water in a particulate form. Accordingly, environmental pollution can be significantly reduced.
Remote submerged chain conveyor
A remote submerged chain conveyor system separates particles from a coal ash/water slurry from remotely located boiler units. A tank forms an ash holding section, a dewatering section, and an ash settling section. The ash holding section receives the slurry with first and second opposite ends. The dewatering section dewaters the slurry. The settling zone is an elongated trough connected with the ash holding section at one end with a discharge drain trough at near an opposite end. The tank sections are in a generally linear arrangement. A drag chain moves along the ash settling conveying the particles settling from the slurry to the dewatering section opposite to a net flow of water. A flocculant supply line upstream of the ash settling section configured for adding a flocculant promoting an agglomeration of particles into flocs. The flocculant supply line is located in a mixing section with an agitator.
Method for Removing Solids Submerged in a Polymer-Based Slurry
A method for removing solids submerged in a polymer-based slurry. The present invention filters used polymer-based slurries, containing solids, to return the slurry to a condition that is favorable to the owner. The method utilizes a first collection tank, an agitator, a shaker with a plurality of screens, a desander, a desilter, a centrifuge that removes solids down to a size range of 5-7 microns, and a second collection tank. Each component can be used in tandem depending on the polymer-based slurry characteristics that are required by the owner. The preferred embodiment includes the following steps: obtaining used polymer-based slurry, pumping the slurry into a first collection tank where the slurry undergoes agitation, pumping the slurry through a plurality of screens, pumping the slurry into a desander and/or a desilter, passing the slurry through a screen, and pumping the slurry in centrifuge that removes solids down to a size range of 5-7 microns. After completion of the method, the owner can decide to repeat the steps to obtain a polymer-based slurry in accordance with their requirements.
Single stage clarifier and mixing assembly
A single stage clarifier mixing assembly includes a housing having a circular sidewall and a center axis, a mixing section in the housing, a clarifier section overlying and axially aligned with the mixing section along the center axis within the housing, an inlet delivering an inlet stream to the mixing section and an agitator. The agitator is adapted for mixing the inlet stream in the mixing chamber.
Auto jartest analyzer
An auto jartest analyzer includes a plurality of water sample reaction equipment, coagulant providing/controlling equipment and a coagulant concentration analysis device. The coagulant providing/controlling equipment provides coagulant of different concentration to the plurality of water sample reaction equipment to allow contaminants in a water sample of the water sample reaction equipment to precipitate. The coagulant concentration analysis device analyzes turbidity measurements for the plurality of water sample reaction equipment and determines if they meet predetermined analysis criteria, so as to figure out an optimal concentration of coagulant currently required to be added to the water sample. This thus achieves automatic analysis of an addition concentration of coagulant to be added to the water sample, which not only improves operational efficiency but also makes the analysis result more accurate.
