Filter media may also be simultaneously cured. Heat activated disks may be used as pleat stabilizers and/or for and/or as part of end caps.

The filter body has a liquid inflow space, a plurality of diagonal fold parts individually formed outwards from corner parts of the liquid inflow space and having a length in the radial direction around the center of the liquid inflow space, and pocket parts having any one of the diagonal fold parts as one side, and individually having a triangular planar shape, and the spacers are fixed on the inner face of the filter paper, near the diagonal fold parts, and inside of the individual pocket parts.

The present invention relates to a filtering panel (100) for a disk filter and a disk filter for water purification, comprising a metal filter cloth (16, 116) such as a stainless steel filter cloth, pre-tensioned in both warp and weft directions and fastened to a frame (10, 110) comprising a peripheral portion (11, 111), which is integral with an inner grillwork (12) and which divides the inner area of the peripheral portion (11, 111) into fields (15, 115). The frame (10, 110) comprises a plastic material reinforced with glass fibers or carbon fibres such as polypropylene loaded with fibreglass in an amount of at least 20 weight percent. Each field of the grillwork (12, 112) has an area not exceeding 10% of the inner area of the peripheral portion (11, 111). The pre-tensioning of the filter cloth (16, 116) in both directions is from at least 20% of the yield stress of the cloth (16, 116). Further the present invention relates to a disk filter comprising said filtering panels (100) and method of making said filtering panel (100).

Utilizing a mechanical seal between a filter media and an endcap of a rotating filter cartridge

Referring to the figures generally, a rotating filter cartridge includes a first endcap, a second endcap, and a filter media. The filter media is positioned between the first endcap and the second endcap. The filter media creates a mechanical seal between at least one of the first endcap or the second endcap during rotation of the rotating filter cartridge without the use of a potting material. In at least one embodiment, the rotating filter cartridge further includes a body secured to the first endcap and the second endcap. At least one of the first endcap or the second endcap, and the body, may form a pocket that radially pinches the filter media to form the mechanical seal.

Flow control elements (FCEs) and fluid apparatus including the same are described. In embodiments the flow control elements (FCE) include a body that includes a front side, a back side, a left side, and a right side. The body further includes a base region, an upper region, and an intermediate region between the base region and the upper region. The FCE is configured to move in response to a fluid flow (or, more specifically, a pressure differential across the FCE) to regulate a flow of fluid past the FCE. In embodiments the FCE is included in a fluid apparatus for a vehicle, such as but not limited to a suction filter for a vehicle transmission.
