Apparatus and method for rejuvenation and recovery of filtration media
Apparatuses and methods to rejuvenate spent filtration media are described. The apparatuses include a filtration unit to filter a liquid having solids that need to be removed and a rejuvenation unit to heat the spent filtration media that has reduced filtering capacity. The methods include using the apparatus to rejuvenate spent filtration media by removing solids deposited on the filtration media to allow its repeated reuse rather than being discarded and replaced with new filtration media.

Waste-movement system for aquarium
An apparatus includes a waste-movement system having a bed-support assembly configured to receive, contain and support an aquarium bed of an aquarium. A vibration-source assembly is configured to be positioned relative to the bed-support assembly. The vibration-source assembly is also configured to selectively generate and transmit vibrational energy to the aquarium bed while the aquarium water is made to flow. This is done in such a way that the gravel of the aquarium bed becomes, at least in part, spaced apart (at least in part) from one another; and the aquarium water, at least in part, moves (at least in part) the liquefied waste and the solid waste through the aquarium bed from a first interior section to a second interior section of the aquarium.
WASTE-MOVEMENT SYSTEM FOR AQUARIUM
An apparatus includes a waste-movement system having a bed-support assembly configured to receive, contain and support an aquarium bed of an aquarium. A vibration-source assembly is configured to be positioned relative to the bed-support assembly. The vibration-source assembly is also configured to selectively generate and transmit vibrational energy to the aquarium bed while the aquarium water is made to flow. Separation of clean water from effluent streams
A process for separating clean water which has an impurities content of less than 100 ppm from waste materials such as farm manure is disclosed. In a first step, a plate separator splits the waste material stream into a first effluent fraction and a first solids fraction. The first solids fraction then undergoes two stages of pressing to increase the solids contents to about 30 to 40 percent which makes it suitable for granulation or pelletizing. The first effluent fraction is treated in successive stages with various chemical agents resulting in the removal of most of the solids and inorganic impurities from the effluent to achieve drinkable water purity.
