Process for exploiting gas effluents from alcoholic fermentation
The present invention relates to a method for the valorization of gaseous effluents derived from alcoholic fermentation, comprising: a step of alcoholic fermentation in a bioreactor producing a fermented matter and a gaseous effluent, wherein the gaseous effluent comprises carbon dioxide; a step of extraction of the gaseous effluent from the bioreactor, followed by compression thereof, in order to obtain a compressed gaseous effluent; and a step of production of a suspension of alkaline bicarbonate in a bicarbonate production unit, wherein the bicarbonate production unit is divided into at least two compartments arranged successively in series. The present invention also relates to a corresponding plant.
Containerized desalination system
A water desalination system includes a first set of ultrafiltration membranes, a second set of ultrafiltration membranes, a first backwashing system configured to treat at least one of the first set of ultrafiltration membranes or the second set of ultrafiltration membranes with brine generated by a reverse osmosis process, and a second backwashing system configured to treat at least one of the first set of ultrafiltration membranes or the second set of ultrafiltration membranes with one or more chemicals and reverse osmosis permeate water.
CANDLE FILTER DEVICE
The invention relates to a candle filter device, primarily for filtration of solids from liquids, and containing one or more candle filter elements and the process of operating the same.
Chemical liquid purification apparatus and purification method using the same
A chemical liquid purification apparatus includes a tank body, a return tube, a liquid sending pump, a filtration device and a piping. The tank body has a liquid passage port and a circulation port communicated to a storage space inside the tank body. The return tube has one end connected to the circulation port and another end extending to the storage space. The liquid sending pump and the filtration device are located outside the tank body in between the liquid passage port and the circulation port. The piping is connecting the liquid sending pump and the filtration device to the liquid passage port and the circulation port.
Channel device and method for concentrating fine particles
Provided is a channel device that is capable of increasing the concentration of fine particles in a liquid only by use of fluid-dynamic flows without relying on electrostatic interactions. A channel device (1) in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: a main channel (11) configured to allow a liquid containing fine particles to flow therethrough; a chamber (15) that is provided at an end of the main channel (11) and that is configured to store target fine particles which have increased in concentration; and a side channel (12) that is connected to a side face of the main channel (11) and that is configured to allow unwanted liquid to drain therethrough, wherein at least one of a height and a width of the side channel (12) is smaller than a particle size of the fine particles.
FILTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FILTERING
A filter system and method for filtering. The filter system (SJ) having at least two filters (S1, S2) having filter elements for filtering a material to be filtered. The material to be filtered is conducted to a dirty side (LP) of the filter and filtered material is conducted out from a clean side (PP) of the filter. A clogged filter is washed by counterflow washing in which the filtered material is conducted from the clean side of one filter to the clean side of another filter.
Method for recovering liquids from slurries
The method relates generally to a filtration and liquid displacement method for separating valuable or harmful liquids, herein termed Process Liquid, from mixtures or slurries that contain such liquids and solid particles. The method employs upflow filtration, operation of SAP Means and use of a Sweep Liquid that has a higher density than the Process Liquid.
REMOTELY ACTUATED VALVE FOR A BIOLOGICAL LIQUID TREATMENT SYSTEM
The invention relates to valve system for controlling a process fluid within a liquid processing system. The valve system comprises a valve arrangement, a pneumatic control system, and a connector unit. When the valve arrangement is connected to the connector unit, two or more valves are formed, such that the pneumatic control system controls an open/close or pressure control mode of the valves. A pump diaphragm system is disclosed, as well as a system for purifying a biological material that comprises the valve system or the pump diaphragm system. Also discloses are methods of using the valve system or the pump diaphragm system in a process for the purification of a biological material.
Filter press assembly
An assembly for a filter press can include a plate body having spaced first and second sides defining an axial direction, and a fluid channel extending through the plate body in the axial direction between the first and second sides. A fastener can be provided in the assembly with a first end extending from the first side of the plate body.
AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for providing filtered air to an enclosed space includes a first air feed pump to pull air from an environment and push pressurized air to the enclosed space, a power source adapted to provide electrical power to the first air feed pump, a first filter media positioned between the first air feed pump and the enclosed space to provide coarse filtration of the pressurized air pumped from the first air feed pump through the first filter media and remove particles that are larger than approximately 5 microns, and a second filter media positioned between the first filter media and the enclosed space to provide fine filtration of the pressurized air pumped from the first filter media through the second filter media and remove particles that are between 1 nanometer and 20 nanometers in size.
